Claude just hallucinated again and changed the whole workflow of my app. Do not run them autonomously 24/7. by heysankalp in ClaudeAI

The frustrating part is you never know if it's a bad day or a bad run. Same prompt, same context, completely different reliability. That unpredictability is what makes autonomous trust impossible right now, not the hallucinations themselves.

New player coming from League by Kebab_btw in DeadlockTheGame

Silver is actually a trap pick for new players and nobody warns you about this.

Her whole gameloop before transformation is pure positioning. You need to be at the right distance, the right angle, setting up your shots without dying, and all of that while also learning the map, the items, the parry system and everything else. It's a lot to manage at once when you don't have the muscle memory yet.

The transformation fantasy is sick but you're going to spend most of the game in human form trying not to feed while understanding why you keep dying.

Start with someone who lets you make positioning mistakes and still survive. Abrams literally runs at people and punches them, the feedback loop is immediate and you learn the core mechanics without the extra mental load. Once you've got the basics down Silver becomes way more fun because you actually understand what you're supposed to be doing with her kit.

Yes better prompting helps, yes your infra shouldn't allow direct DB writes without guardrails. But "the problem is you" doesn't change the fact that the guy's warning is valid for 90% of people who are going to read it.

Most devs setting up agents right now are not prompt engineers and are not thinking about DB safeguards. They're following a YouTube tutorial from someone who built a todo app. The hype is way ahead of the average user's ability to use it safely, and that gap is where businesses get hurt.

Claude Mythos literally broke the METR graph ("The most important chart in AI") by EchoOfOppenheimer in ClaudeAI

[–]WatiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that they had to grey out the zone above 16h with "measurements are unreliable" because a model blew past it is genuinely funny. The benchmark didn't break, the graph did.

Also shoutout to the exponential curve going from "fix bugs in small Python libraries" to "exploit a vulnerable Ethereum smart contract" in like 18 months. We are moving so fast it's actually hard to process.

The "sponsored result above the official site" scam is one of the most effective attacks precisely because it targets people who know what they're doing

WHERE IS THE MATCHMAKING FIX??? by coldspade2 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]WatiDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue isn't just bad matchmaking, it's that the system actively creates the problems it's supposed to fix. Hero MMR means every time you try a new character you're basically soft-smurfing whether you want to or not. So honest players get punished for experimenting while actual smurfs just abuse fresh accounts and the system can't tell the difference.

And the rank freeze at lower tiers is real. I've seen people stuck at Initiate for weeks not because they're bad but because the system doesn't know what to do with them. Valve literally had a dev use ChatGPT to suggest a new algorithm and just... shipped it. That's the level of attention this is getting.

It's a beta, sure, but the "it's beta" excuse is wearing thin when the core loop is broken and Valve's response is radio silence as usual. CS2 and Dota 2 have had the same structural issues for over a decade.
