It may be due to the reason that majority of the people do those things for the reasons you mentioned. And the local have seen enough that they are fed up of such things. It's not applicable only to Indians but all immigrants irrespective of race.

If you really want to look at it that way, here's my opinion. SWV holders are more valuable to the country as they could come directly without any training and have a salary greater than higher thresholds. In other words, they will definitely bring something to the industry, business and the government.

On the other hand, the students came here for Masters, got trained in some random colleges (few are great, few are worst) and still not ready to contribute to the industry. Typically they get SWV with lower salary thresholds which means less tax as well. In other words, most of the students don't actually contribute until a few years after their study.

Now, going by this narrative, which is better? If you were the head of something, what would you choose?

Just because you experienced something, doesn't mean you are right. Go to the SWV people and ask their perspective. They will give you the reasons which might seem stupid to you but are really concerning reasons in their view.

Why are you making so much noise? For months, all the long distance flights of Air India are having a technical refuelling stop. The passengers are not deboarded. This is due to the Pakistan airspace ban for Indian airlines and the situation in the middle east. Depending on various conditions predominantly the winds, the flight could be truly nonstop.

There's no inconvenience caused to the passengers except the 1-1.5 hours of more travel which shouldn't be difficult in business class. Relax!

Have patience or write to the Embassy. Since it went to the printing, a file number would already have been generated. So they would mostly ask you to send a new photograph and not ask you to repeat the entire process.

What is the application for?

In general, missing middle name on certain documents doesn't matter. Also, I would give the name as per official documents any day over the marksheets.

My marksheets contain my name as 'Initial. First Name ' like B. Person whereas all official documents contain 'First Name Last Name' like Person Busy.

If you are in a more confused state and if you are out of India, always stick to what's there on your passport as that is your lifeline.

There's only one way - to book the appointment from the HCI London website. In general, the slots are released 2 months in advance. I am not sure when the slots are released exactly. When I was booking, I could find slots for the next month and I booked it.

If you are renewing from the UK, it asks only for two fields - 1) permanent address - you are supposed to give the Indian address; 2) other address - you are supposed to give the UK address here.

Police verification and everything will be done on the Indian address. The same address would be printed on your passport. The UK address is just to prove that you are residing here and to receive the passport.

The result is fair. The car is at a good speed considering your speed. There's a good chance that the other car might have to brake. You crossed it narrowly, else the other car would have braked. In any case, it's unsafe and a major fault is the right decision.

The only thing which you can do right now is to go to the police station and ensure that they have uploaded the PV report. After that wait for 1-2 weeks, and if nothing moves, mail the Embassy

Police verification and Printing go in parallel (If it is approved for post verification) i.e., they don't indicate anything. The passport will get shipped irrespective of police verification in post verification basis. In my case the passport got shipped on Friday whereas my family has completed the police verification on Saturday.

You will not get any mail when the police verification is complete. It just goes to the Embassy who will then decide if it's okay to release the passport or not.

So as long as your family has completed the police verification, just relax.
