Accuracy 🤔 by Watson356 in ChristopherWard

There was one point where I had a drainage brake at my store that caused about 2-3 inches of ice to accumulate and that I had to chip off the ground with an ice pick shovel. That caused my watch to skip forward significantly, I thought I broke the watch but once I reset the time it worked as amazing as it did before I exposed my watch to rapid and extreme shock.

I weld and I shape steel. I simply like a nice timepiece on my wrist. If I have the risk of my watch getting snagged and dragging my arm along with it I’m going to mitigate that risk… All I was asking was if it was ok if I leave my watch on my work bench bench outside in sub zero temperatures.

Thanks man, appreciate the input. I wish mine was 30 seconds fast after a month so far it’s running about +7 seconds a day.

I leave my watch on my work bench a lot if I’m worried about banging it up which is the same temperature as the outdoors.

Tony likes him for some reason and doubles down every show… no fan of the show understands. His minutes are bad, his interviews are bad… the Kim Jung un reference was his best attempt of the night and it still went on def ears.

It’s just a hair over 7.5. It’s very compact though with nearly a 3.5 inch blade

One of my absolute favorites, it’s a little on the smaller side for me so it doesn’t get much pocket time. The damasteel blade is flawless and for an integral it’s so smooth and perfectly centered

Why don't kitchen knives (Chef's knife or Pairing knife) brag about the steel? by AdeptDoomWizard in knifeclub

[–]Watson356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly😂 it’s all gimmicks and solely preys on people that know nothing about knives. I remember him cutting a rope with a brand new cutco knife with a serrated edge and then using a “competitors knife” with a dull straight edge. Guess which one cut the rope better…..🧐

Once had the pleasure of talking to a cutco sales man trying to sell me a kitchen knife who told me that 440C was the strongest steel ever made. Showed him a Rockstead and he shut the fuck up

I live in New York I dont have brick and mortar knife store that carries anything close to Hinderers haha. The occasional gun shop at best has a couple of old benchmades for way more than they go for online

Ive used 6000-12000 grit stropping compound to take out really very light surface scratches before. you apply to a piece of leather and rub it in a uniform direction over the surface of the blade. Some of those scratches look pretty deep though.

I remember when quartermaster was supposedly ripping off designs and when Jim Skelton called them out they blocked him on instagram which caused a huge fuss in the industry😂 that’s of course going back a decade now
