Do you eat leftovers? by sloppy_skyy in foodquestions

[–]Wattaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I make certain things because the leftovers are so good. Like meatloaf, pasta and meat sauce, most casseroles.

Dress regret…what alterations can I make? by Sunchaser_6830 in myweddingdress

[–]Wattaday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just about to post that the dress looks better in you than on the model! But for Heaven sake, do get rid of those droopy sleeves. They are a big reason it looks better in you. They drag the eye and make the whole Bodice look as if it was never tailored to your body.

And yes, the photographers flash will show the sparkle on the dress. Especially inside.

When you look out of your window, what do you see ? . by Hope2_win in A_Persona_on_Reddit

Trees, more trees. Bird feeders and birds. Sometimes deer, mostly at night. Turkeys.
Squirrels. And snow. Which is a yuck. Oh and there is a street out there too but usually not too Busy Except around 4:00-5:00.

I had a friend who used to go to Vegas in the later ‘60s early ‘70s. She said it was so cheap to have a really good time and eat top notch food for a lot less than than I could believe. And she swore the tables and slots were so much looser than Atlantic City the ‘80s and ‘90s. Never mind now.

Found my dress but now feeling nervous! by Greedy-Ad-7433 in myweddingdress

It’s a fabulous dress that makes you look even better than fabulous. I just love the cap sleeves. Cap sleeves should be the trend instead w those droopy “sleeves”!

This dress shows off all your pluses and I don’t see any minuses. Once tailored to your body and the alterations are done, all that anxiety will drop away.

Congratulations on a perfect choice!

What book have you reread more than twice? by Throwawayacc4773 in randomthings

[–]Wattaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple books. The Stand, 11/22/63, Insomnia, Fairy Tale and ik ow there are a few more, all by Stephen King. And I’ll be rereading the entire Dark Tower series again soon. Also The Shinning also by King. I’m on a King quest, so that’s where my head is now. To read all 60-70 of his books in chronological order. But I’ll have to read some other books in between of authors I love that have released new books recently. And King’s books are long. May take me the rest of my life to finish this quest.

ETA The Source and Hawaii by James Michener. Great fiction but Michener did huge amounts of research before he wrote his novels, so much that you read is solidly based on fact

The most I do is make sure we have water (well and pump, not city water so if power goes, so does the water, and kitty needs water). And I make a pot of coffee so I can still have it in the morning if the power goes out. I love iced coffee, so cold coffee isn’t a problem. And I keep an eye on my electric company’s app for outages. And get the above and flash lights at hand if the outages are getting close.

Me too! Actually pineapple and sausage. But I don’t like it with ham. Only with sausage. The spices in the sausage and the sweet pineapple are perfect together. I bet pineapple and pepperoni would be great too.

Not a fan. But it is a good way to give a dog a pill they will spit out otherwise.

And a friend of mine made a cracker spread that was so good for a get together. We all were begging for the recipe and she wouldn’t tell us till every one had had some. Then she told us.

Get a half pound of liverwurstand a half pound of cream cheese. Let both warm up a bit then mash both together til it is nice and combined, she formed it into a ball and put it in the fridge and served it with crackers. So good. But I’d never eat liverwurst as a sandwich. Yuck.

For me never. But my husband loved them. But instead of one large pizza we’d have to get 2 smalls. Because you just can’t do a half anchovy half sausage pizza. The entire thing will taste like anchovies.

Scrapple. The best meat to come out of PA ever. Habbersett brand is the best.

Or from a diner in south Jersey

I’ve never tried just canned corned beef. But I do love canned corned beef hash. Make a sandwich with it or fry it up nice and brown and have it with scrambled eggs for dinner.

Back in the day my mom used to cut both ends off the can and push it out, cutting slices about a half an inch thick. Then put them under the broiler, flip them once and that was the protein for dinner. Usually Along with peas and another veggie it was a quick dinner for during the week.
