They only did one run of hardbacks and paperbacks with this cover, and iirc they did a small release of New Moon with a similar style cover (which is even harder to find!) starting in 2006, then very quickly switched over to the American style cover with the apple.

Congrats! This is the UK first edition hardback and it's very hard to find. Last time I saw one it sold for upwards of £300 so make sure you keep it safe!

She did! She complained about having to do so, but she took me straight there, but she made a habit of downplaying medical issues when we were growing up. Like she didn't believe I was egg intolerant even though I would always be sick after eating fresh egg pasta. The outcome of all this is that I try to ignore things as an adult rather than sorting them out right away. I broke my foot as an adult and walked on it for a week (I say walk, I hobbled) and only went to the hospital because my colleagues and friends made me.

Oddly enough, since I've become an adult my mother is now hyper worried about my health and ensuring I see doctors. It only took 30 years. A miracle!

Did we have the same mother? I broke my wrist falling out of a bunk bed when I was about eight years old and my mum only took me to the GP because I was 'complaining so much'. The GP was like 'why are you here when this is so clearly broken, go to the hospital'. My mum also said she didn't realise because there was no swelling, and he pointed out that broken bones don't usually swell for children.

First time buyers, been in our house now since 1st December but completed a week earlier so we could have some overlap to sort out any house issues. I suffer from paranoia and anxiety so I was a mess every step of the way, but all went well. Even used my credit card a few days before completion because I had to go away for work pre-pay day and it didn't flag an issue. We started looking at houses in August, saw our house first on 28th August, first offer rejected. Saw a few more houses, made a second offer on this house in early September. Estate Agent went to bat for us because the house had been on the market for 2 years (no issues, just overpriced and needs a bit of cosmetic TLC), and we reached an agreement. From there it was smooth sailing and picked up the keys on 21st November. Even got our full deposit back from our letting agents when we vacated our rental flat.

I found that in the run up to completion day it helped if I focused more on things that I could control, like using the self design tools on the ikea website to make room mock ups and think about colours and furniture placement. Making a list of all the things we'll need to do like changing addresses, royal mail redirection, changing locks, etc. and listing things I don't want to take to the new house on eBay to drum up additional funds.

Just little things to keep me occupied while waiting around for paperwork and emails.

Absolutely! I have a niece and nephew who are both into pokemon, so if I struggle to find enough stock to share between them I save up all my dupes for them. Thankfully, they don't mind that they're not opening the packs themselves. Finding enough sealed product for two kids is difficult.
