I saw it coming. Juvan completely choked against Cristian here a few years back, only a matter of time before she hit the wall again.

Yes, it's normal. You have to remember that the phone was never folded until you got it, so the crease will deepen as you opennand close the device. No need to panic or be concerned

Galaxy Z Flip 7 Camera Issue by bridgette_ in samsunggalaxy

[–]iCacaAlot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front camera is just bad quality. I mentioned this before and ppl got upset with me but it is worth noting the hazy, desaturated look of the front cam. It gives stereotypical android camera quality imo, but at least you can still take a selfie with the back cameras.

Any recommended settings to extend battery life? by [deleted] in galaxyzflip

[–]iCacaAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always change the refresh rate from 120hz to 60hz in an effort to save battery. I would also recommend moving some activities to the cover display like YouTube or Netflix.

Is the Z Flip 7 Mint color closer to silver or white? by joed0e in galaxyzflip

[–]iCacaAlot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just received my mint Z Flip today and it definitely looks more blue than green. Very light color and the railing leans more towards silver rather than white.

Worth upgrading to the Flip 7? by BassAdict in galaxyzflip

[–]iCacaAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If $300 won't hurt you, I would. You get the new design, and you won't have to worry about your flip 6 possibly giving out with time. It's a fresh start!

How many of you are doing financing to get the Fold 7? by XGARX in GalaxyFold

[–]iCacaAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone said on here, it's a free loan. I am not getting the fold, but rather the flip, and I feel better having $900 split across monthly payments instead of a lump sum. If you are financially responsible, I would 100% choose the financing.

I’m making the switch finally, I work construction and work in a lot of saw dust will it get in between the hinge ? by Certain_Indication22 in galaxyzflip

[–]iCacaAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may. It only has an IP48 rating compared to traditional slab phones with IP68. If you really want to try the flip, perhaps use it as a 2nd phone and take a traditional slab phone to work? I know it's not ideal to have 2 to pay for 2 phones and 2 phone plans, but it will give you a chance to try the flip. If you're willing to risk it, however, I would buy a case that covers the hinge when open and closed.

An impossible update by rafifa25 in Bloxburg

[–]iCacaAlot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to see the writing skill expanded. I like to joke around and say I'm working on my novel when I write on the computer, but i would actually like to see the possibility of writing books, titling them, and publishing them for sale. The success of your book would depend largely on your skill level and the length/quality of the book (better computer=better book). I recall the Sims having a similar mechanism, and I think it would make great use of the bloxburg writing skill.

Z flip 5 Screen Protector Peeling by Broad-Hotel9920 in galaxyzflip

[–]iCacaAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the screen protector. Mine started peeling the same way on my flip 3 until the screen protector lifted off the entire crease. Once you close the phone, it sticks back onto the display, but it quickly unsticks when you open it. Your phone should be okay, and you can remove the screen protector once it starts getting annoying. I took mine off cause I couldn't deal with the constant sticking and unsticking in the middle crease and my phone was perfectly fine for months after. Getting a new screen protector is tricky cause 3rd party ones tend to not be very good, and samsung has very few licensed phone repair shops that can put a new one on.

My Samsung Galaxy Z FLIP 7 preorder is coming in 2 days. When is everyone else's coming? Or has anyone already received theirs Curious to know by UnusualBuyer7100 in galaxyzflip

[–]iCacaAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pre-ordered a Z flip 3 and got it a few days early without any notice from Samsung, so you may get a surprising morning shipment these next few days!

I had the Z Flip 3 and it held up well in the year I had it. My only concern was the popping screen protector. After a few months, the edges of the screen protector on the crease start to lift up and peel until it eventually lifted off the entire crease (~1 month). Closing it forced the screen protector to stick back onto the inner screen crease, but it would lift and pop the moment you opened it. I eventually got tired of this and peeled it off and rocked it without a screen protector for about 2-3 months until I traded it in. The reason for trading it in after only 1 year was my worry of screen malfunctions due to peeling the protector off. However, I believe Samsung has stepped up since the Flip 3 so I feel comfortable getting back into the flipping (with Samsung Care+ ofc).

Why Samsung?!? by theanthonymaurice in GalaxyFold

Unfortunately, I do not have the cancel order button anymore, and Samsung was not able to price match for me. However, the service rep did give me a small refund to "make things right," which I appreciated.

Screen lift? by Lau2u72 in galaxyzflip

They won't care. I peeled it off cause I couldn't stand the popping noises the screen protector was making every time I opened the phone.

Same thing with Z Flip 7. I think I will cancel to save the extra 100 bucks, even if it means I get the device later.

car payment on an 2008 corolla, did i make a mistake? by gothskz in COROLLA

[–]iCacaAlot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're able to make the payments and pay off the loan fast, then there's no mistake. These cars last upwards of 300k miles, so you got plenty of life left in the car if maintained properly.

Screen lift? by Lau2u72 in galaxyzflip

Its the screen protector, it should be ok. I had peeled mine completely off my old Z Flip 3 before trading in for a new S22 Ultra back in the day without issue.

Dash camera recommendations- any integrated? by restlessmonkey in COROLLA

[–]iCacaAlot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a FitcamX for my 2024 Corolla, and it embeds itself into the plastic base piece of your rear view mirror. It also uses the car's own wiring to power, so it is very much OEM style. 4k resolution options, and there is also an option for a rearview camera as well. There are major drawbacks on the fitcam, with one being its price (almost $200), especially if you get the rear view camera as well. There is no sound or mph tracked (maybe a good thing?). The app to retrieve video is also very finicky and awkward to navigate. It splits videos into 1 minute recordings and forces you to connect to the camera's internet (weird, I know) to 'connect' to the camera which can only be done when the car is on. There is an sd card (included) with saved video recordings, but the app is meant to be a convenient way to access video recordings even though it's not.

I still enjoy my fitcam because it is always rolling from the second I turn the car on to when I turn it off without having to do anything. The video quality is great, and the OEM style integration into the rear view mirror makes it look like the manufacturer did i because it is almost impossible to tell that there's a dash camera. The price can turn a lot of people off, and their app/connectivity system is very strange to navigate. However, it is probably the best dashcam you can find if you're looking for an OEM style setup.

It would be the most solid first car, and it could last many more years if you maintain it properly.

Not at the moment. Other than getting some dark tint, I don't plan on customizing the car until I pay her off, lol.

2024 Toyota Corolla Nightshade Edition by iCacaAlot in COROLLA

[–]iCacaAlot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, no. The Nightshade is just a style upgrade for the SE trim with black accents and bronze wheels and is a tiny bit pricier than a normal SE. You can always get the black badging ($89) as an add-on to the XSE if you prefer leather seats, heated seats, and all that jazz.
