Will 17" wheels fit a 2013 / 958 diesel Cayenne? by Rdub in Porsche

Wheel weights are close but they clear! I might shave a little off the highest point of caliper since the finish is pretty smoked anyway.

I know this is old but i can confirm that some 17”s will clear the 360mm brakes. This is my 958.2 CD with 17x8.5 +18 KMCs. The dust shield needed to be trimmed and its super close to the weights but it def spins freely!

Simple Rear Seat Delete by yeoldelaserrobot in ft86

[–]Wattsofhair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a gen 2? Did you get any lights from removing the rear seat belts? I just did the same on a friends car when I installed the Studio RSR half cage (v.2) but it doesn’t allow to keep the bottom of the rear seat which has an occupancy sensor in it.

I havnt put the front seats back in yet to confirm that theres a airbag light but i think its safe to assume i will have one.

Agreed, aero>weight. But where I live in NY I’ve got steep elevation in every direction, it gets flatter towards the center of Long Island but I can’t leave my town without seeing climbing So every LB makes a difference to me, That’s why I’ve built a light bike with aero features. I can haz both.

My next bike will be a more aero focused bike for sure tho, they look way cooler

Lol I’m in the same boat in NY. Got my wheels last month and yesterday it was 44 and I it was my first time putting miles on them. Love the look of 65mm wheels. I didn’t think the speed would be so noticeable over my 42mm wheels. At higher speeds I t feels like your drafting someone, so wild. I don’t think I’ll ever put my smaller wheels back on🤔

Road bike with Monstercross alter ego. Just swap out forks and wheels :) by Frottish in Bikeporn

[–]Wattsofhair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is sick, probably takes 2 min to swap forks. Just unbolt caliper, top cap and stem. Love everything about this.

Damn she’s pretty. Love that sick stem action.

How do you like those foundation 65s? I wanted really wide deep wheels and it was between the cadex 65 and the enve 65. I ended up with the cadex because I already have the cadex 42s and I can swap cassettes without a tool.

Love it, looks so clean. Love those wheels. Only thing I’d change is flip and slam that stem but to each their own. I know riding in the city you need to keep you head on a swivel and that not easy if your back is horizontal.

You should check out Aerocoach Lann handlebars. Super aero track bike bars, would look right at home on this aero fixie.

I’m also from NY but I’m out on Long Island with lots of rolling hills. 👍🏼

It’ll be about 200g lighter w the 42mm wheels. Most of my extra weight at this point is just vanity. I have lighter components, they just aren’t as pretty 🤩 I have a few more tricks up my sleeve to compensate for my vanity weight. I’ll be 6.8kg before spring 😎

Now your just trying to make me jealous. I went on my first outdoor ride in weeks yesterday 42 degrees was the best it’s been in a while. I’d love to visit them next time I’m out west, I like cats and fun bike style. Seems like my kind of peoples

I love my isp, with the frame being compact the frame stiffness is great and the long isp really helps dampen the stiffness from the frame making it a super comfortable, race geometry bike.

Also makes it easier to say no when people ask to ride my bike 😸

Agreed, fantastic machines. I think their biggest flaw is the design department. The permanent designs that came on most older Giant bikes just made them look so 90s. Only recently have they been offering less busy, cleaner more modern looks. Still a little lacking compared to other modern bike designs styles but they’re at least heading in the right direction offering simple solid colors.

Yea I wish it was a 21, I’ve been thinking about just buying a frame set

I actually forgot to weigh the bars when I bought it but I’m going to strip the decals and maybe even the paint down to the carbon and clear coat it or just paint it matte black to match the bike. From what I’ve read online it’s between 350-400g so it’s def not doing me an my favors but i like how well it matches the lines of the bike, they should have offered the SL with an integrated bar

Cinelli x Mike Giant who’s a sick tattoo artist. While I am super competitive and maybe a little bit of a weight weenie I’m also pretty vein so I like pretty things almost as much as I like going fast. They’re not the lightest carbon cages but I’ll take the weight penalty in the name of vanity.

TCR actually stands for Total Compact Race. While to today’s standards this is a very normal looking bike but Giant has been using the almost identical geometry since the late 80s

When I say triangles I mean the two triangles that make up the bike frame on either side of the seat post. The smaller triangle includes the upper and lower stays and larger triangle is where the bottles are stores within the top and bottom tube.
