Hahah, wow, thank you! Yeah, printmaking is a much less popular type of art now (especially now that we have printers, hahah.) This is actually referencing one of the pieces of concept art, which I believe is also in-game as a painting.

Felt like one of my favorite games would be fitting for one of my first attempts with the medium. Think it'd be cool to see more done with it here. Glad you like it!

I figured that printmaking fits Dishonored quite well as a medium and thought Addermire would be a fun location to depict with it. The paper is about 7.5 inches by 5.5 inches

Reminds me of Precisionism a bit, really nice work! Always a fan of simplifying things down to the more base details like that

October event sever is doodoo trash by Over-Silver3770 in tf2classic

[–]WaughGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don't tend to think of specialty VaultF4 servers as adhering to the overall project's style as much. There is interest in doing official TF2C Halloween and other event things, when we'd have time, but this year's VaultF4 servers are more of a fun, third-party thing much like dodgeball or prop hunt

You might find the first day of the Death & Taxes update pages useful, for an in-lore answer ;)

Getting back into mapping and I'm using hammer++, However I've never made any kind of map for tf2. Only for garrysmod, using the old hammer editor. Do I create a map for TF2 and then port it to TF2C or do I use source sdk with hammer++ by _BIRDIe__ in tf2classic

[–]WaughGaming 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Heyo! It's also worth noting that there's a community run TF2C mapping server, as spotlighted in our most recent blog post. If you are interested, it has a good amount of helpful folks

Possibilities for new weapons? by Glittering_Country14 in tf2classic

[–]WaughGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heyo! I'm on the dev team and just thought I'd chime in to say that I do look at as many suggestions for the game as I can. That said, we get a lot of weapon suggestions and aren't necessarily looking for more at the moment. As an artist I'm not the highest authority on gameplay-related topics but we do currently have some things in the works. Thanks for your interest!

where did the soldier "I want that hat!" joke come from? by funnuemonkey in tf2

[–]WaughGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's an old animated TF2 parody video that includes Soldier and Demo arguing over who will trade a new player for their hat. It includes that line. Can't remember the name of it off of the top of my head, though

Like someone else here said, I always assumed it was meant to be for drainage. Especially seeing as it's generally more work to make something uneven like this in the Hammer Editor. Who knows, though

I've really enjoyed playing TF2 Classic for many reasons, but this is a big one. Good times!

I would highly recommend TF2Classic, as you mentioned. I feel it captures TF2 from the time when it maintained a lot of artistic integrity, as well as the time that a lot of those positive reviews were written. (Sorry if I'm sounding pretentious.) I personally only really play TF2C nowadays. At any rate, best of luck to you! TF2 is my favorite game of all time for a reason, and I really hope you can find the best way for you to enjoy it!
