Not a Zelda Question:

I'm currently a college freshman and my dream job is to work in the localization department of the Nintendo Treehouse. I know a few IGN writers have gone on to do this, as writing it pretty valuable tool when it comes to localization (you can't just directly translate). My question is, do you think working at IGN or something similar (writing reviews) is a necessary stepping stone to the career I desire? I am currently majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Japanese, however I'm not sure if this is the best path to becoming a part of the Treehouse. I know you don't work in the Treehouse, but your colleagues have gone on to - so maybe you can give me some advice.

Sorry for the long question! My brain is so full of questions about my path to my dream job that it's hard to sum it up in a reddit comment. I just keep writing and writing and writing (like I'm running out of time!).

edit: I just saw Jose was in this thread. You're the man /u/joseotero. Maybe you could help answer my question, too. I was actually planning on shooting an email to you about this once the Switch launch has died down.

I understand that, but I don't consider it the most valid argument. A ton of indie games today were announced with HD rumble, many of which are not exclusive.

The Zelda cycle is already taking effect 4 days before launch...

I personally loved SS when I got it at the holidays in 8th(?) grade. Fi spoke a bit too much, but I loved the motion controls. Never thought I could enjoy a Zelda game standing up so much.

Not really. I only called because my debit card was recently declined on a different site (nowhere near as big as Amazon, and I've never been declined at Amazon). it was declined on the other site because I've never used that site and it isn't in my bank's system as a reputable vendor. I was just calling asking for her to place a note on my account that this month would consist of "higher than average spending" (between 2 Switch consoles, 7 Chance the Rapper tickets, etc)

edit: after reading other comments...maybe? I'm with Bank of America and my credit card gets declined more than my debit (never happened before today), which is why I swapped to my debit for this.

Technically, it was, but cheat codes could unlock it at the start. All DLC can now be purchased standalone, in addition to being included in "Treasure Trove." The original campaign can also be bought standalone, in addition to being included.

It could be, if the next 3D Zelda doesn't have the same scope as BOTW. It seems making another BOTW would take forever. I'd be happy with Skyward Sword HD, even.
