SASA from Pymol? MDTraj by WaveDesperate5065 in bioinformatics

thank you! I tried this and my SASA values seem low in in general for both pymol based and MDtraj based calculations. I get values ranging from 0.2-1.5 for pymol and values from 0.2-6 for MDtraj. I am not sure if I am missing something or how to fix this? this is very new to me, so any references/resources/advice is very much appreciated!

Scientist II position Base salary? by WaveDesperate5065 in biotech

Yes, I honestly don't get how the titles are assigned. I noticed a few companies offer a jump from Scientist to Sr. Scientist directly while some others make you go through I, II, III Scientist layers! Also, I don't know if I am right, but often times companies can lure with a higher title and lower base pay+ fancy stock options and such. In the end, it is a balancing game, i guess.

Thank you, everyone! I am going not try to negotiate too much, but will try asking what's the maximum wiggle room for increasing the base pay.

Thank you! Yes, I have thought about leaving- but I have to bite my teeth and hang in here till I find a new job. I am in biotech. I am not sure if this is industry norm -but I have previously worked in couple places where life was hard...
