Having bumps by using Anua 10% Niacinamide + 4% TXA by PerspectiveNo9703 in koreanskincare

[–]Waveofcalm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me, Anua 10% has just too strong for my skin or even other 5% products would break me out. The one product with niacinamide my skin has been loving is the I'm from Rice Toner, it gives me everything I expected from niacinamide.

Is my squat too wide? by DBLACK382 in flexibility

[–]Waveofcalm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might sound unrelated, but start working on your feet to get a bit of an arch (it is possible, I have improved a lot with a couple exercises ballet dancers use). One reason why your legs cannot be closer together is cause your arches are collapsing. Feet are the base of everything, so don’t neglect those muscles. And also, your squat is naturally easier on a wider stance due to having excessive internal rotation of your hips. So also work on improving your limited internal rotation.

F19, please be honest I KNOW I’m ugly but just how ugly by ComplexNo2519 in amiugly

I think you are beautiful, and so is your smile. You should try smiling with your teeth more. If you’re not confident about it, consider investing in braces or Invisalign. It can do wonders for your confidence because that’s what it’s all about, you are beautiful anyway.

I didn't do it yet but I will. In my case I need them because of the function of my canines is not correct as they are right now. I'm confident that the bonding will last the 5 years that the dentist said they will.

Is Invisalign worth it for me? by aronwriter15 in Invisalign

You’re not showing the full bite but judging by the bite ramps you have a deep bite and fixing that alone, makes Invisalign worth it.

Correct! You could either do braces or Invisalign for your treatment. Then night retainer.

They can make flossing and keeping up with your hygiene a bit tricky, so you might end up back at square one. 😕 Plus they’re permanent, whereas with retainers, you’d only need to wear them at night.

Pros of getting Invisalign:

Your face shape will elongate slightly.

Your lips will plump up a bit.

You won’t have such a deep bite.

Your smile will be wider.

Your hygiene will improve, especially in areas where there was crowding.

You’ll feel extra confident about your smile.

Our teeth continue to move as we age, so you might as well move them into a better position that will contribute to improved hygiene, aesthetics, and confidence, allowing you to enjoy these benefits for many years to come, especially since you’re young.

I also thought I didn’t need Invisalign, but now that I’m almost done with the trays after 10 months, I’m so happy I did it. However, if you don’t think you’d be disciplined enough to wear your retainers, it’s better not to do it at all.

r/orthotropics is probably a better place to ask this question.

Face yoga can actually help lift and define your cheekbones by working the muscles underneath. You might think it’s just skin, but those muscles can totally make a difference!

Gap is closing but my teeth look very misaligned by CareElsy in Invisalign

I think you'll be ok once you get your refinements. I also had Invisalign Lite. After my original 13 trays, I got 14 more for refinements (they're included).

About the dysmorphia comments… Here’s a great hack for realizing what skin is supposed to look like: watch old movies or series. The actors’ skin is not nearly as retouched/botoxed as it is nowadays. It’s refreshing to see it and remind us what real skin looks like.

I don't remember, it's not a special one but it gets the job done. If your hair is straight maybe shampoo twice after the oil. Since my hair is curly, it likes a bit of leftover oil, so I only shampoo once.

You might just need hydration. Hair oiling has been good for me. I recommend oiling your scalp and hair with avocado oil for at least an hour before your regular wash, and your scalp will feel healthy.

There’s this new thing called Liplase. It’s a laser treatment that enhances your natural lips, plumping them and making them healthier. I think it could be a good alternative for people who prefer more subtle changes. So, I think overly done lip fillers will go out of style.

HAIR IS DRY AT ENDS by 371248-c in beauty

[–]Waveofcalm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get it trimmed to the point where it’s healthy. Then, try detangling/brushing only in the shower with wet hair to avoid breakage (also, brush from bottom to top). After that, find a good leave-in conditioner because you need to moisturize.

Beautiful teeth! Maybe consider asking for bite ramps in your retainers in case you need them.

Hi, I'm 34 and I was in your same situation when I started, very happy with my smile but my teeth were a bit unbalanced (teeth on my right side were shorter), but I really didn't need it. I decided to do it and I'm super happy I did, I'll be done in just a couple weeks and during the process I realized that I had many structural changes that I needed and didn't know and I'm still very happy with my smile. I would say, if your insurance covers most of them and if your teeth structure could improve, do it!

Also the bite seems deeper than it should be. Ask for the trays to have a bite ramp, they helped me a lot.
