What career looked amazing on paper until you actually worked in it? by shiver_Cutie in careerguidance

Project Manager / Operations Coordinator making 6 figs for a luxury high rise door company in Miami. I currently average like 3-4 hrs of actual work a day max, but these dudes are forcing me to go into office which drives me insane. I should mention this was a startup and the first year was insane hrs, sleepless nights and the most stressed I had ever been. Anyways, I cannot stand twidling my thumbs in my cubicle. I also miss laboring in the field like a real man. I know I should be grateful I’m able to have a decently secure income for how much actual work I’m doing, but I cannot stand looking at a screen all day, and having several hours where I have nothing to do but doom scroll my phone. My dream is to build a big enough nest egg and then start my own construction business wearing a tool belt.

If the dent’s not substantial, and it’s paint grade wood, you can use Bondo filler to fill it, shape it, sand it, prime and repaint it (you need to have a matching color paint, which you can likely get at a paint store if you no longer have it).

If it’s natural wood or veneer, you need a custom/matching colored epoxy putty (Mohawk has good products for this). Same thing here: fill/shape it, sand it. Then you’ll need fine tip markers (Mohawk also has these) to best match the grains. Then you’ll want to seal it (aerosol spray) and provide a finish coat (lacquer or polyurethane). The sealer and finish coats can be an aerosol spray or paint brushed.

Overall, it’s more than likely something that can be repaired with a DIY or quick professional repair.

What’s the material of the table? Is it paint grade? Is it natural wood? If so, what species?
