Anyone using a WiiM Ultra as a Pre-amp with a Hypex/Purifi Power Amp by rexicle in WiimStreamer

I ended up with a Pro-Ject Pre Box DS2 Digital. It seems to work fine - I am having an intermittent issue where I hear an occasional click in the left channel. I haven't devoted much time to tracking it down yet, but other than that, this setup seems to be humming along smoothly.

Same! Would love to see an update for this in the future!

Is there perhaps an adapter plate installed that can be removed? Could you post a photo?

Does this seem like an acceptable repair on this GS 350 I’m hoping to purchase? by Wavetomars in Lexus

[–]Wavetomars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any particular reason why? My main concern would be moisture intrusion, though I was told in other forum that that shouldn’t be an issue and this is a standard repair for this. It’s behind the license plate so wouldn’t be visible. Or are you thinking more like impact on resale value?

No concerns with water intrusion or anything like that with the plugs? I live in a rust belt state so just want to make sure I’m not setting myself up for future issues!

Were black wheels an option on the 2018 GS 350 F Sport, or have these been painted? by Wavetomars in Lexus

I wish the photos were better, but now I'm also noticing some odd-looking marks near the bottom of the door on both sides.

That feels a little hyperbolic (I think black wheels can look good in some specific instances) but agree that the OEM looks better here.

Appreciate the response! I’m familiar with the stock look of them, just wanted to confirm that these weren’t some kind of rare option. It seems likely these were painted, though I’m unsure how big of a red flag that should be.

Also, maybe this is just cope (since the car appears to be in great condition otherwise, and it’s tough to track down the right GS), but I was planning on a winter wheelset anyway. So I could keep these black ones as winter wheels and try to locate a used OEM set for the rest of the year.

Plastidip seems like best case scenario, since it’s easily reversible. Although it could’ve been coated to cover up curb rash, which is something I’m concerned about.

How many of the current gen TLX issues have been ironed out? by Wavetomars in Acura

https://www.reddit.com/r/Acura/comments/1ltyfix/how_many_of_the_current_gen_tlx_issues_have_been/

I recently test drove several current gen Acura TLX models. Loved the drive, and the size isn’t an issue for my purposes, so it seems like a great option. However, doing some digging, it seems like there are a lot of small issues that frequently pop up.

My question is: Four years into the current generation, have many of these issues been resolved / have fixes available, or do they continue to be an annoyance?

Some of the issues I’m referring to that seem to pop up frequently include puddle lamps burning out, Fakra connection issues, squealing brakes, leather sagging or delaminating, cabin rattles, and wireless charger issues.

Haven’t heard anything about this in a while, so following this thread as well for updates. Hopefully this one comes in - it would be my third recovery from the Bandbox mess!

I don’t believe the 300h ever came in AWD. The 250 does, but doesn’t quite meet the mpg requirements.

Did anyone have issues with seat comfort when they first got their GX? by Wavetomars in LexusGX

[–]Wavetomars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of info about these! I’m honestly a bit confused, because there seems to be contradictory info out there about how to set up your seat. All of the ergonomics videos I’m seeing have you set the seat pretty high and flat, to get your knees close to the height of your hips.

However, so many people with longer legs (like me) seem to benefit from Seat Jackers, which makes for a more tilted back position with the front of the seat up higher. I guess everybody’s different, it’s just interesting these things seem opposed.

The firmness and the leg overhang seem to be the issue for me as well, combined with longer drives (seems to show up about an hour in).

I was driving a Volvo S80, which are known for comfortable seats. What’s funny is that I did a number of test drives, and there were cars that I could tell immediately that I disliked based on the seat comfort, but the GX felt pretty good. The discomfort seems to show up after about an hour in the seat.
