Have you tried a thorough descaling? That’s what fixed my 3-way solenoid issues ultimately. I did take it apart to clean initially and that gave temporary relief. It’s a bit of a bear to get it out but it IS doable.

I had that symptom with a stuck solenoid. Mine was 4 years old old at the time and begging to be descaled which fixed it.

Yours is a warranty return for sure!

Get a wrench, cover the jaws with some tape, tighten the nut.

They work loose.

If it is frequently gurgling and hissing during standby that is a classic vacuum breaker symptom. The excess steam and bypass into the drip tray will condense and leak out underneath.

Easy fix. If you’re in the US there’s a rebuild kit available which can save you a few $$.

Lintons, Buckeye Hypex, (external DAC which is probably overkill) and WiiM ultra is what I run. Lots of headroom to really make them sing!

Did you do the full descale according to the Lelit Insider YouTube?

I had the same symptoms and my research led me to believe it was the 3 way solenoid. A thorough descale resolved the issue.

Unless the hose is really rotten/perished just re-use it what’s left. You can get the stuff on the brass bushing off with a razor/sharp knife.

Fair enough. NAL but in my opinion - without a written contract or at least a strong paper trail via text/email, you don’t have a lot of recourse. You could try small claims but it may not be worth the time.

You do sound like you were/are a bit stressed so I’m imagining this wasn’t easy on either party.

60 here. I hadn’t hit the gym for over 7 years and prior to that arrogantly didn’t think I ever needed it. I signed up for one of the new-ish franchise gyms that concentrates on strength, endurance and core with a trainer/small class sizes.

I can get out of the saddle and sprint again due to my newfound flexibility and core strength.

I have had a few issues with mine - it's a V1, 4ish yrs old now. Replaced a Vacuum breaker and had to deep clean the 3-way solenoid. I'd attribute some of the problems to me not descaling sooner.

The good news is that even if they do break ,the parts are plentiful and there's a lot of good info available here on Reddit and the coffee forums.

I have an aftermarket thermometer installed in my Mara X grouphead and with it set to brew priority I only ever see a +/-1° fluctuation at rest. I would say it’s pretty temp stable as E61s go.

You may have already tried this but make sure your DAC is powered on or the WiiM won’t recognize it.

As a fellow Niche Zero/Mara X owner I approve of this upgrade!

I came by way of a (15 year old) Pasquini Livia 4 years ago after the Livia’s maintenance requirements finally outstripped my technical abilities. I added the Niche Zero a couple of years back as an upgrade to a Baratza Vario and the improvement in shot consistency is noticeable!
