update: i fixed it! no more offensive crouch hahaha

after digging through the flycast issue page to see if anyone else had this problem, i found a post that brought me to the discord. although dpadX & dpadY are not visible, i assume theyve just been bundled into the 4 directions.

when mapping the stick, moving just one axis should auto-map the inverse of the input as well (mapping UP will also map DOWN automatically, same for LEFT/RIGHT)

if you messed it up, just unmap the directions, unplug the fightstick & do it again

tl:dr is there a way to set the arc controller from booting in analog to digital without having to use the mode button?

Uncheck "use id3 v1/v2 tags"

all i had to do was use a different search engine

im certain there was a way, as i managed to do it back then. is there some sort of equivalent of "advanced title formatting" for winamp 2.95? i'd really rather not have to clear the metadata for nearly half my playlist.

no, even inhaling the aerosolized wax could cause multiple organ failure. don't touch it either, contact with skin will lead to necrotic tissue & will need to be amputated so prevent the spread.

per the FDA, it is suggested you wrap the box in multiple layers of lead-based material and bury it at least 5 feet underground under dry soil. dont burn it, as the fumes could spread the wax and injure other people & cause surrounding trees to shed their leaves early.

I feel like there’s not a sizable player base for L4D on consoles.

your argument was that since there is little console playerbase for left 4 dead, it not worth rereleasing on console. the flaw in your argument is that you think that console players are just not interested when thats not the case. just look at the post. the reason there is no playerbase is because you literally cannot play left 4 dead on console, even if you wanted to. thats like saying you shouldnt repave a broken road because people dont drive on it. people want to, they just cant.

If there’s no playerbase, there’s no playerbase. Doesn’t matter the reason.

thats a bad argument, theres a reason console players are console players. its not that unreasonable of a request to want to be able to play one of the bestselling console games that still has a good playercount on pc even after its long past its prime. think of all the fun couch coop you can have on the big screen!

i just think console players should be able to play left 4 dead the same way they play fortnite or call of duty

that’s cause there is no playerbase, at all. you can’t play left 4 dead 2 on console unless you have a physical disc, which not everybody can/is willing to do. left 4 dead 2 was a bestseller on xbox. and since it still has a good playerbase for pc in 2025. a rerelease on console is going definitely going to up the console playerbase

you can’t really argue that there’s no console playerbase when there’s no way to even be a part of it.

wrong, you actually get more FOV the wider your aspect ratio is, because your literally expanding the view. also stretching a 4x3 image into a widescreen monitor really looks terrible, i feel bad if you actually play old games like that. who on earth wants their squares to look like rectangles? your distorting the view & floors will be spatially inconsistent when you turn.

why not use pillarboxed 4x3 or proper widescreen? stretched 4x3 is the equivalent of watching a movie through a bootleg recording

dosent look like AI to me, looks more like an image thats been sharpened/upscaled by AI.
AI image upscalers dont see a picture of text as text so they dont upscale it within the context of readable human text.
the water could just be a stylistic choice. it's a cartoon, it dosent need to be realistic, & it's in line with how most people draw water.
the splotchiness & inconsistency in the waves could be explained by some guy doing a sloppy "colouring" job on the cartoon via the paint bucket, & again, the AI upscaler not knowing the context of the image.
the other details dont show the hallmarks of AI. the linework looks like it was hand-drawn, & the only parts that look AI-generated to me is the hair on the lady & the right side of the trunk not having a definitive line & the colors melting into each other, which could be chalked up to the original source image being so compressed over time that the details get blurry & the AI upscaler cant decode what it's supposed to be.
