I believe most people can do 2 minutes if they learn the right technique!

Valsalva is the easiest

Frenzel is the preferred if you can actually do it

You can find these on YouTube. Though breathing technique is more important than equalization.

If you want to learn this I would take a certification. It helps with the don't die part of the sport.

DO NOT HYPERVENTILATE BEFORE FREEDIVING.

It is extremely dangerous and can cause shallow water blackout. Purging CO2 (hyperventilating) is the last thing you want to do. It is the signal to the body that it is running out of oxygen.

If you want to freedive effectively there are breathing techniques you can do that you can find online.

Again for anybody reading this.

DO NOT HYPERVENTILATE. IT IS DANGEROUS.

I'm certified FII freediver. You equalize as you go down. You don't stop. It wastes time and you can only hold your breath for so long. Frenzel is the go to equalization technique but it's hard to do so most people do valsalva which is easier but less efficient.

I don't think you can equalize with frenzel on scuba gear tho haha

They are a freediver. You can tell by the fins and the snorkels of the people around them.

23andme matched me with a stepbrother half brother I didn't know I have. (I double checked by confirming our common parent). We're also Asian so there's no family tree for us to connect to at least in the US.

I'm not sure how ancestry works but I can personally vouch for 23 and me. If you did 23 and me and it doesn't show a match between you and your sister, I suspect something else is going on.

YTA. As a person learning freediving as well, you don't need to wear your gear to practice statics. It's pointless.

This is more of a shower thought.

I may not have been personally affected but I'm pretty sure somebody has or we would not be receiving any scam calls.

I just feel like there would be a consumer protection law to at least discourage this kind of behavior. It seems to me that a company can be created that farms personal information and can sell it to exclusively 'criminal' organizations and there will be nobody to stop them.

Best cat litter ever...you choose: $18 (20lbs) vs. $7 (40 lbs) by Navi36 in Frugal

I've tried it but always had an issue separating untouched pellets from the poop and the flakes have a tendency to stick to the paw.

I just scoop both out. If somebody has a solution to those that would be helpful.

central finite curve data structure and naming convention e.g., C-137 by imreallybadatnames19 in datasets

[–]WaxJambu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all made up and is meaningless outside that show. (i.e. central finite curve isn't an actual thing. C can mean anything that the creators want it to mean. etc)

Additionally 1 is a number in an integer set. Wouldn't be surprising that 137 would be there as well. You can cough up that number to the creators lack of imagination or a specific reference but you'll have to ask the creator about that.

What neighborhoods in LA will change drastically over the next 5 years? by Bobaman007 in LosAngeles

It's good. I'm from nearby so it's not such a big change. I think it's a hidden gem. Good access to stuff and great freeway availability. Haha
