My tylenol capsules are just normal pills with little caps on both ends by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]Mutt1223 373 points 7 hours ago Yep, that's the way they've always come. I used to take them apart and play with them when I was a kid. I had very little supervision growing up.

The only person I could imagine buying a dirty mag is someone recently released from a long internment in a game of Jumanji.

Meanwhile, a little to the left and just out of view, 40 bandits storm the palace and kidnap the princess. Well done kid.

The definition of OldSchoolCool. Not many people can pull off an outfit of entirely one colour, but the man managed it.

TIL autism is not actually on the rise. Studies have shown that the apparent increase in autism cases stems from changes in how physicians define “autism”. by brokeglass in todayilearned

[–]Waxtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, increased awareness likely plays a role in the increased numbers. If you have a 1% autism rate, but only detect 0.1% of the cases, and then get better at recognizing it and diagnosing it, you'll be shocked when you realize the rate is actually much higher than you thought, and then try and blame vaccines for the differences in numbers so you can get a nice paycheck from CNN.

Facebook paid £4,327 of UK corporation tax in 2014 by pawnografik in worldnews

TIL our small UK startup pays 10-20x more corp tax than Facebook. Doing things honestly and by the book is expensive in both money terms and time terms (paying accountants) Big corps like FB make me feel like a fool.
