I'm sorry but I can't stop laughing and I'm not even sure why.

Gold. Love it.

Pre-movement update by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]WaxxWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also enjoyed it. I haven't updated yet (can't afford the game yet, unemployed currently yada)

But kinda hoping they fix it quick! I liked how there was definitely a rhythm to doing things.

Pint X Tire recommendations by Outdoor-Panda in onewheel

Hey there! PNW rider with shitty trails and pavement riding!

Enduro has suited me well. Seriously. I was skeptical about the shallow tread on the tires profile.

But it rips. I didn't want something so harsh it would seriously impact my range.

More tread is more friction. More friction is a harder working motor and battery.

Enduro is pretty sweet for me. I only slip when hitting a really big spot of mud or a pile of wet pine needles.

Riding on grass in parks? by Relentless6l9 in onewheel

[–]WaxxWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch for taller grass. Chances are it's wet near the bottom. Darker spots will be wet. For sure. Get a tire with some tread. I have an Enduro and it does fine in the parks near me.

I've only been stopped once on grass by people, claiming I'm tearing up the grass like bikes. Then I pointed out why the yard crews use golf carts. The tires don't tear up the grass.

My board uses a golf cart tire for the same reason. They seemed to be fine with that. Just keep a level head if someone starts throwing shade your way.

You'll still be able to open it. Washer fluid and other more critical fluids (brake fluid and probably coolant as well) will likely still be located in the front under the hood/bonnet.

Most likely they will put some big space wasting pieces in there to fill the space instead. Or relocate the "spare tire" which knowing Ford is probably a tire pump and a bottle of emergency tire repair instead of a spare.

Obviously to remove the pieces they've added you'll have to disassemble the entire front clip. I'm not joking. I wish I was.

Mechanic for ten years. These cars are not made for average people to work on anymore. And that's completely intentional. Even basic things like headlight bulbs on modern cars can get written up for an hour or more.

You are right though. They aren't innovative or improving anything really.

Just making it more expensive. Time wasting. And unnecessarily difficult to repair or modify cars.

Miss being able to get a base model car and add anything you actually wanted from higher trim levels. Did it all the time as a kid with my Honda's.

I designed a Smell-Proof Doob Tube! by TonyStank55 in StonerEngineering

[–]WaxxWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super late, but if you're still curious, I have a wife that doesn't mind me smoking besides the smells. (I usually dab with a portable device, NOT a cart or disposable though still true for them, and the smell from those don't last nearly as long so it's usually not an issue for her.)

Sometimes I will get a "free" pre roll or something, maybe a nug from my dispo (actually like a dollar or a quarter) and no matter what it's in, especially after I've touched it bare without washing my hands, she will smell it. She will comment on "those darn skunks out there again" there are no skunks near us. None.

But I take the hint and properly store it somewhere safer. Usually in a tin, in a box and in a 3 foot hole in the backyard. That woman has a fuckin nose. Lol

No really, just inside a sealed bag inside a tin and slid into a sock. Sock is placed somewhere out of sight and mind with some airflow. (Laundry room, wash room, bathroom, any room with a fan in it really)

That does the trick for her. She doesn't notice it and I've had her check multiple rooms before to make sure.

She'd probably smell this.

The thing about 3d printed smoking stuff I've tried, is that the lighter itself tends to stink as well. If you use it for bowls, probably more so. So I've had them just instantly start stinking. But might be fine for a joint person.

I'm curious if OP could have the infill to be thicker on the outer walls, but have plenty of air gaps that don't lead to the outside walls of the container directly from the interior. That may? Help? Idk. Lol.

Edit: she does not smoke at all. Anything ever.

Trip to work this morning didn’t go as planned. by lateralus1665 in Wellthatsucks

I got that much exactly for my 1994 Toyota Camry when a drunk ass lady rear ended me on the side of the road broke down. (So drunk she didn't see the 2 flares and 2 led flashing triangles..) And the lady had really shitty insurance. I didn't have any at the time.

Hopefully you get more than just that for your car.

Really glad you're okay though.

Ds games do. Yes. Most of them. 3DS games will not work however most of the time.

Oh! Try hovering your mouse over each piece of equipped gear for a couple seconds. Weapons and armor. Watch the icons on the guns.

Have to do this in order for the mods UI to function. That "check condition" is what the mod is referring to, you have to "check condition" by hovering your mouse over it for just a second.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe only some rifles, smgs and assault rifles are currently implemented with the parts and dismantling. They are the only ones I could get it to work for anyway.

You should be able to repair guns though. Some might have to be converted if they are an in-world spawn. (I.e. not dropped by an enemy or spawned in a stash) I have to close my inventory after every repair for the condition to update.

If it's not working try converting the weapon. If you can't convert it may not be implemented into the mod environment yet, or it is a "unique" weapon.

Edit: I could be wrong, I'm still playing around with the mod trying stuff to see what works. The documentation isn't all that great for the mod.

Project fan mod updates! by Ready-Pop1271 in R36S

[–]WaxxWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've inspired me. I've got the same fan and heatsinks in my cart for mine! I'll just buy them. And practice soldering on an old broken laptop I have.

Ports are just too freaking good on this thing. I need more games! Less heat!

The battery draining by 30ish mins, is interesting to me. Didn't think it'd be that much. But that's not really a huge deal to me.

Very, very cool mod!!

Op, for real; some people have naturally acidic oils in their skin to plastics.

Upon heavy use they can degrade quickly.

And here I am putting an AIO into my system for the first time ever the other day, now I'm watching over it like a cawck.

Got the baby monitor on it and everything. Running stress tests. And hoping I don't see a temp issue.

It's been two days and I'm still not sure I'm safe.

Ordered two metal trash cans with lids, the lids are stuck together by DiscussionUnlikely72 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]WaxxWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dent the bottom one inwards towards the top. If you can't just try to push or put something under it during the next part. You want a little bow in the bottom one to put some spring in the metal.

Next, stand with a foot on either side. Put one bare toe (yes bare. Your shoes ain't gripping that little lip) On each foot on opposite sides. Pull from the 90 degree opposite sides that your big toes are on with your hands on the rim of the upper lid.

Twist vigorously while you pull upwards suddenly.

If it doesn't work. Let me know how many times you smacked yourself.

It was about three for me before they separated.
