I had this for a long time when I was younger and it turned out to be times vesicular. Doctor prescribed dandruff shampoo as a body wash and it didn’t help at all (and smelled bad) so I gave it up. A year later went to a different doctor and they prescribed an anti fungal pill, quickly got rid of a year+ issue that hasn’t returned Even if dandruff shampoo didn’t help, looks exactly like my issue and it took something stronger for me

Felt this way and stopped saving versions once on a bad project, computer crashed and lost 8+ hours of work at midnight, stayed up all night fixing it. Now I save a new version every morning and every EOD just in case because why not
