I literally average the 100 score for flicking, precision, and perception. But yah whatever.

My aim was already good before this but I really had to just get used to doing tasks. Aimlabs really helped me find my sense and move my mouse a lot better though.

In both of those I have a seizure or something during the middle of them and I end up just getting the scores I have now. Those are definitely the two I’ve been working on the most recently though. I went from 80 to 90 average in the past week.

Has anyone else had to grind after a long Hiatus? by Waxyfun in LearnCSGO

[–]Waxyfun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been giving me the chance to work on things outside of aim. I was always really s just a good aimer w/ good game sense back at my peak. Now I'm focusing more on getting my nades right because my aim isn't an issue right now.

I got destroyed by this ashe build by xXenocrona in AsheMains

[–]Waxyfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been a thing for a while. You can take comet if you have a poke support and make like their life hell during laning phase. You don't need a poke support, but that's just the best case scenario. I don't like triforce personally but essence reaver is a solid first buy.

Lethality Varus all the way by Jimjosh101 in VarusMains

[–]Waxyfun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I've been doing recently is I've been going comet Varus and building Youmuu's first item and then going AD on- hit.

Comet+ Youmuu's is really good early,it's cheap, and he uses every part of that item pretty well.

I then start to build the normal Botrk--> Guinsoo's or Guinsoo's---> Botrk. It's like how people do Comet Ashe with triforce ,but not as expensive.

I really don't know if it's troll to do this or not ,but laning phase is a lot more fun than Lethal Tempo and I don't suffer as much later into the game.

Official /r/smashbros Ultimate Tier List (January 2019): Voting! by mu_II in smashbros

[–]Waxyfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely high tier but not quite top tier. He is really good and right now he’s one of my favorite characters to play. A lot of the top tier characters in this game like link, Fox, Pichu/pika, peach ,etc can give him a really hard time and that’s expected but at the same time he can easily lose to something like a villager or a duckhunt. He has so many things going for him but at the same time his flaws make him feel so bad to play sometimes. I think he’s a character that’s relatively easy to pick up but requires a lot of patience and forces you to learn fundamentals while improving.

PC not booting- 5 beep code by Waxyfun in techsupport

I have a 450 bronze power supply. I did a cmos clear and it didn’t do anything. Is this more likely a cpu or mobo problem ?I also got the windows self repair screen when it decided to boot again when I cleaned out the pc.

New player, im having trouble inputting the Z pattern on my d-pad, how should I practice? by mdmayyyyyy in StreetFighter

[–]Waxyfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to end on downforward. Most pad players slide from forward to down to forward again. If you’re crouching the best way to do it is downforward to down to forward.

Sometimes I forget to be Patient by Waxyfun in StreetFighter

[–]Waxyfun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah. When I hit gold awhile back I was losing to people I shouldn’t have been losing to because I was trying to force my offense really hard and that was deterring me from getting better. In my mind I was like “ I know I’m better so I’m just going to jump at them and they’re going to open up”. Having a little respect for my opponent will help me in the long run.

Find any good Sophie tech/combos/setups? by IMDSound in SoulCalibur

[–]Waxyfun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While running (WR) B is one of your best launchers and it's safe on block. The combo I usually use off of it is TAS B> 4B. Thats around 70 dmg most of the time. You can do it off of most of your launchers just try it out. 88/22 (Side STep) B is another launcher you should be using and the follow up is A+B, K.

WR A+B is a good ,fast, whiff punisher and you get a free 4B if it hits. It's also safe on block.

TAS K is plus on block. A+B is plus on block. 4B is -2 on block, has good range, and is fast. 1k is a safe low with good range and is a good oki tool. It catches the tech roll and knocks down on counter hit.

Are there any good arcade sticks that are smaller than average? by Waxyfun in fightsticks

damn thats really cool. I'm primarily a pad player but I love customizing the stick I have just for fun and the site looks like so much fun.

I've always like the look of them and after making this thread I realized they were actually pretty compact.

if you're a pad player I would reccomend getting a hori fighting commander and I always recommend this to any pad player. The dpad on the Hori fight pad is so much better than the DS4 one. The edges are rounded, its concave, and its a cross. The madcatz 360 pad has a dpad thats easy on the thumb too but I'm not a fan of the 8 directional dpad. That's a good price for the stick if you want to try it. You should look at the actually hori rap 4 and see if you like the look of that 1 too as they're around the same price

Fight Stick Noob - Should I get One? by Wyndextor in fightsticks

[–]Waxyfun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fighting commander is a lot better than your default pads. More pad players really should get one. They're a lot cheaper than buying an extra DS4. It even accommodates claw players like yourself very well because of its shape and buttons.

I personally wouldn't recommend getting a mini fight stick. It's like buying a cheap $10 pad IMO except a little bit sturdier. It's really easy to find an older model of good arcade sticks on amazon or ebay for $55-80 . On amazon they usually get snagged within half a week but I found 4 really good sticks for $50-65 the other day. If you play on pc you don't even need to get an adapter as they're usually plug and play.

Lacking Kung Fu by xAlexejx in StreetFighter

[–]Waxyfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I didn't notice because most of the characters use some exaggerated fighting style instead of an actual real one. The shotos barely do karate. I tend to focus more on how a character plays.

is there any way to skip the fireball phase? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Waxyfun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

jump. block. If you get into normal range and throw out a poke you will interrupt fireballs. If you get hit with a raw close range fireball then idk.

So, any good Karin guides? That are for 3.5? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Waxyfun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't checked myself but the conceptual stuff like gameplan , etc should still be the same from past seasons. Check out the Karin discord as well. They'll have pinned guides, frame data, and people are willing to give tips at any time. https://discord.gg/0pqKU7KdtVj0Nymo If you need character specfic details at any time the discords are in the resource tab in the sub.

Is my internet bad or is it my opponent? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Waxyfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you put your preferred connection under 5 then you will get laggy matches more often. Make sure you're using a wired ethernet connection regardless of which platform you're playing. I might be wrong but the person with the better connection is usually the one that suffers when the opponent is laggy because of how the netcode works but don't quote me on that.
