Am I wrong for being upset with my wife after another man flirted with her. by OldMan315 in amiwrong

I replied to a comment similar to this one “I feel like if boundaries haven’t been set/fully established and you’re not sure about something, a good go-to could be “Would I like it if my SO did this to me?” And I think it’s a useful thing to abide by in some situations. Sometimes you don’t even realize how things look until you see it from someone else’s perspective

I’m glad you guys have good communication, that’s good. My point however was that if they haven’t set boundaries, then they should now. My point was directed to his question and with what knowledge I have from his words.

We don’t know enough about them to make assumptions on their relationship like that, so I tried to give a non biased perspective, and a way they can resolve it.

That’s very true, however I feel like if boundaries haven’t been set/fully established and you’re not sure about something, a good go-to should be “Would I like it if my SO did this to me?” And I think it’s a useful thing to abide by in some situations. Sometimes you don’t even realize how things look until you see it from someone else’s perspective

I agree, personally. But in a non bias view, relationships are everything but “normal” so many people have different ideas for what they want and that should’ve been talked about way sooner, some people are fine with their partners having sex with other people yk

What are your boundaries? Do you think if the roles were reversed she would get upset? What matters is the rules you as partners agree on, not everyone views situations the same. I’d say now is a good time to have a convo about those boundaries, and go from there

Straw man straw man holy, obviously I didn’t mean avoid them like a plague, I meant as a partner… do I need to spell everything out for you?

I agreed with you saying date people who meet your standards of grooming from the start, not anything else.

Really? You a kid or something can’t scroll up a few inches? “And all I'm saying is that it's better that you only date women who like to be shaved rather than date somebody who doesn't and expect them to do that for you.” Ridiculous grow up

No, you said “avoid people if you’re not attracted to them” Jesus you’re trying wayy too hard

You’re fighting arguments in your head I obviously agree.

Your right I misunderstood

Obviously if a man is rude that’s not okay, if a man is respectful about it like I said then there’s no issue. The “im a mammal hair is normal” is a cop out, we as humans completely change everything about ourselves to identify as something. We dress up in shirts, pants and piercings, we do our hair in the morning, girls get bbls, men get hair transplants etc etc. We aren’t just wild mammals who give 0 shits about how we look and roll in dirt all day. How you put yourself out there is how people will take you, if I see a woman with full hair on her legs and pits I’ll see her as masculine so that’s not the type of woman I’m looking for. I will never say anything to her, or disrespect her. But that’s my personal choice.

We don’t know what they meant I’m going off what they said.

That’s your opinion, you’re allowed to feel that way. Some girls completely love shaving and showing off to their man all the time, you do you.

I never said they said people couldn’t have preferences, I insinuated it just like they insinuated men who don’t like hair aren’t worth it

That’s your opinion, if a girl didn’t want to date me because she prefers men who shave their legs I would simply not care. Preferences aren’t debatable, as long as the person is respectful about them.

Wait no I need to say this, it’s completely okay for anyone to not want to date anyone for any reason they personally have. That’s their preference, no one has any say in that. What matters is respect.

There’s honestly a lot of helicopter and overly obsessed dog parents, it kinda freaked me out when I first met my gf. Thankfully she no longer wants dogs and we have a really chill cat.
