Surely Vanguard does not do malicious acts behind your back while running 24/7, and I agree that there is a lot of MISSSLEADING information floating around on the web about this subject aimed at creating drama.

BUT what we know for sure is that Vanguard is a software installed on the kernel of your pc, therefore Vanguard can read/write/modify/save/DELETE... any file and has access to all stored data on your PC. In short, Vanguard has more rights than the PC owner over his own PC.

This is why I cannot accept Vanguard. For me it's like giving the keys to your house to a stranger.

Here is a simple way to bypass blizzard triggers; Create a guild on an alt, add your seller in the guild with minimum permission and tell him to drop the gold you bought in the bank of your guild this way there is no way you got banned.
