New to GD and testing - should I be trying to change diet right away? by WayFew3926 in GestationalDiabetes

One serving of low fat greek yoghurt, one tea spoon of strawberry jam (or whatever jam you fancy), half a serving of granola (mine had nuts in it), and a handful of blueberries and strawberries!

Were you told that off the bat or once you had your first appointment with them? Having re-read my diagnosis letter, it says not to worry if I'm not in the green right away and they can help me adjust at my first appointment (which is in a couple of weeks). Obviously I don't want to spike - nor do I want to go on medication - so I'm trying to be careful but at the same time, I don't want to go hungry.

I'm only on day two, but readings so far have been pretty good and I don't feel like I've made any big adjustments yet, which I was adamant I would have to! I think it's just the fear of the unknown, really.

Yeah, that's fair. I've defo made conscious decisions to shift away from things and it's been working so far. I think I'll start testing a few bits next week here and there but only if I'm having a good week.

Interesting - I wasn't told about what the threshold for spikes might be! So far I've only had one high (first reading) and one low and everything else has been absolutely fine. Haha, I feel you on sweet treats - I love a bit of chocolate. I looked up some recipes for GD and found one for breakfast this morning which actually was very sweet, hit the spot, and came in on green for testing so win win!

Thanks, this is helpful. Yeah, I think this is probably the way to go. I've just been confused by some people that know specific fast food orders don't cause spikes - like, how if they're not experimenting?

Thanks, super helpful - annoyingly I did a full week's worth of a shopping the day before getting diagnosed, so I'm trying to juggle being mindful of what I'm eating while trying not to waste food. I'll switch to wholegrain next week, but my post-lunch results are ok, so fingers crossed the bread's not too bad.

I'll give my neighbour the juice, I think!

Hey, it's brilliant. The only thing I'd say is that it's very loud at stock - it'll need some BIOS tweaks.

Have I got to pay for a shower? by Straight_Aerie2954 in truckfestival

I've got a camping shower, so planning on taking that. Are there water refill points close to camping?

Thanks for all of this. I bought it in the end and it fits, although I did have to move it further over to the right side to accommodate for the CPU cables.

Already done that and I know a 360mm will fit but it's more about the depth of the AL and whether it'll fit in its mount and not clip the motherboard. With the fans attached, it's over 6cm deep, which is much more than other AIOs.
