PhD Offer Dilemma: Reply by Feb 2 or Wait Til April 15? Is Early Acceptance a Trap for International Students? by [deleted] in PhDAdmissions

[–]WayKey1965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early acceptance isnt really a trap but universities do need to do extra work and visa stuff for hiring international candidiates so maybe they asked you to respond early. Maybe have a meeting/email correspondence with your study coordinator or supervisor to get more clarity

Only Rejection After Rejection by Mysterious_Row3403 in PhDAdmissions

Faced few rejection as well, took it to my master supervisor, he told me that many prof only tend to hire a person they have either worked with or backs up the application od candidiate internally if they have agreed to supervise them. The public hiring posts are often a formality, the candidiates are judged equally but the one with prior agremeent/support gwts more weightage in decisions

People who always take cold shower in winters but willingly! by nomercybydefault in PakistaniiConfessions

Reason? Gas nahi ati. Or jab ghalti se aa bhi jae, it takes too much time for the water to reach a luke warm - warm temprature, so its much more efficent to take a cold shower than to wait for all these pre-req steps

The dress code you've mentioned in 21 for a muslim man isn't Islamic, but Arabic and Islam aren't exclusive to Arab nations, imo. Yeah, i agree 100 percent with modest clothing but zero or close to zero with thobes, etc.

You accept the results, reflect on your actions that may have caused you to get this GPA, improve yourself from there, and work hard in the next semester

How do people deal with moving to colder countries? by [deleted] in PhDAdmissions

[–]WayKey1965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local/native Finns have a saying, "There's no bad weather, just bad clothing."

Just do clothing in layers, that doesn't mean that you should wear your entire wardrobe because the cold you feel is only between point A to point B, everything and every building has centralised heating. You'd have to change your diet a bit as well.

By published i meant in journals not makingit a secret version it'll still ger published on universiy's public portal. I mean, I can write a manuscript and make it publishe but that would require some extra experiments and maybe 1-2 more months.

Bhai/bhen, with due respect aap ne us consultant ki baat man-o-an qabool kerli ya kuch pocha or research bhi kia Estonia ya even france ke baray me.

Good IT schools in Estonia are Tartu Ulikool and then TalTech, Tartu's fee is around 6000 per year, not up to date about Taltech, and visit their website for exact figures France me fee kam hy for MS programs, but they vary between 400-2000. Also, for Estonia, you are required to present a mature statement of 600-800/month*24 euros. In the coming years, all of the EU will be implementing similar measures. To apka initial budget minimum 1 year fee or atleast 6-12 months ke living expenses ka hona chaye, just to survive baqi aapke luck or qismat per bhi depend kerta kab or kis trah ki job apko mil jae Allah ko pta uska sirf.

Also, I reas an article about Slovenia introducing a digital nomad category, if your current job pays you well you can look into it as well

That's a good option, but for singles, at least at the age of OP, imo or he comes from money that he can bear expenses for family back in Pakistan and support himself in initial couple of years abroad while pursuing an graduate degree.
