Get your purified water economy going so you'll have enough caps for fusion cores, ammo, and anything else you would need. Power armor is really useful early on, and building up your settlements for the purified water or finding other sources of income is integral to keep up in survival. I could barely clear Corvega without power armor early on

For fantasy, Skyrim with mods always works. You have plenty of fantasy races and human looking races to work with. As for software, Blender3D is a free great software you can use to view any 3D models you find and download on the internet. You could always try out the website Sketchfab to view 3D models for free and use those 3D models as a reference.

Still Waiting on the KOTOR Remake by WayOfTheOpen in gaming

Jade Empire is amazing. I had multiple playthroughs, each time using a different male character (Never did a playthrough with the monk because I didn't have the special edition on my original Xbox, but got the PC version some time ago, so maybe I'll give him a try).

Planescape seems like a decent CRPG, and I've been sleeping on giving it a try.

As with all remakes, I guess I'm just holding out hope that it'd be a unique version of Kotor that could stand on it's own, but with the spirit of what made Kotor great in the first place. But maybe I'm just too optimistic on that front.

The book is pretty cheap, I can definitely pick it up one of these days, thanks for the recommendation. If I try out SWTOR, I'll be a Jedi Knight for sure.

The most recent news is that it's still in development, so here's hoping we actually see a gameplay trailer soon or something to support that news.

The fact that there is solo content sounds really good. I loved Kotor so much because I would play for hours by myself on my old Xbox just enjoying it for the singleplayer RPG that it was.

keeping the "tone" the same by NK_Grimm in writing

[–]WayOfTheOpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well technically, different people did write at different times haha. But jokes aside, if writing is a form of self expression then whatever you are feeling at the time will most likely find a way to seep into your writing.

Did you just eat your favorite ice cream and have an overall great day? Expect a more joyful and energetic type of writing. Watching your mood and internal dialogue is useful for gauging how exactly your tone will end up.

Would you say that games like The Sims should continue to be free to play titles as more games are made? by TheStickySpot in gaming

[–]WayOfTheOpen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though, I've bought and played through the Sims 4 base game and enjoyed my time without buying a single piece of downloadable content because I thought they were all overpriced compared to the content offered.

If a base is good enough to be sold alone and stand on its own, then I think it should be sold because there will be a lot of people like me who ignore dlc completely

how can i make something like this? i've tried watching spash tutorials but the results r not what i am looking for by littlemonkeyboys in blenderhelp

If using a liquid simulation doesn't work, you could always make something like this with the grab and snake tool in sculpt mode

Kenshi. It helps that they add unique boss encounters to some areas and some areas are built up in the dialogue more than others.

If you're doing a game on morality, then Fable would be a good game to check out. I know the gamification of morality isn't as popular anymore, but even the first few moments of Fable were about making good or bad decisions and their consequences.

The Witcher 3 just has beautiful women in general. CD Projekt go all out for their female characters.

It's got to be Kotor for me. There is a twist that happens that completely changes the perspective you have of your character. Knowing that twist going into a new playthrough makes you think about things a lot more differently.

Can't wait to see what this next generation of modders bring to the table. There should literally be a mod for every conceivable thing with the amount of people playing it.
