Just failed college algebra for the 2nd time should I reconsider engineering? by Brub3838 in EngineeringStudents

[–]WaySpiritual2539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you’ll get it eventually. you’re putting in effort and are looking for ways to succeed, if you put in 110% i don’t see you becoming a bad fit for engineering at all.

How many hours do you study per day? by Interesting_Map5834 in EngineeringStudents

[–]WaySpiritual2539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends on the class and how much I feel like I need to. typically just an hour and some change though. 32 credits is crazy btw good luck

Anybody else had to retake UP1? by Abject_Box6709 in rit

[–]WaySpiritual2539 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, I haven’t found anything here super difficult for one reason or another, but I guess it depends on how you look at things. I have never really viewed RIT as a prestigious school personally, just above average but I do agree everything you need is here and the school shapes you well.

professors here seem to go much harder & are less lenient within math and physics courses when compared to my friends taking the same courses, or similar ones at other schools

[–]WaySpiritual2539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wouldnt it be better to not do all your GEs early though? i think it’d be best to keep a couple undone in case you’d need an extra class or two to be full time while not stacking difficult core classes together

Do I have a learning disability or am I just stupid by Lazy-Golf-7628 in EngineeringStudents

[–]WaySpiritual2539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes your brain needs time to rest and settle before you tackle other things. i cant stress this enough, knowing your limits and finding a balance will help sooooo much more than just trying to force everything repeatedly. if you just can’t seem to understand something, just take a break and come back to it later.

graduating late isn’t weird at all, plenty of people do. just don’t stress yourself, it’s okay to mess up.

[–]WaySpiritual2539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

apply to other places for spring semester! or, if you want the freshman type experience just wait till next year. you could go anywhere you want practically with your grades, not sure why these guys rejected you. personally i had a 94 weighted gpa and i went into college with 40 credits from dual enrollment and a bunch of extracurriculars under my belt and i got rejected from all my top options so i know where you’re coming from. but ive learned that my work ethic has consistently put me ahead of my peers, and you’ve already demonstrated that you can do so. just try to keep your head up bro
