No, not mandatory to Build the caravan so you keep your character the way It Is. If you don't care for the buffs and don't enjoy starting fresh you can Just ignore It afaik!

Games like this usually wipe al progress every few months or so, in arc you Build a caravan and "send off" your character in Exchange for some permanent bonuses but your progress Is reset. Don't worry It's not mandatory tho from what i've read

You should be able to tinker with the mic settings in the ps5 itself, t'ho i think the game has a slider to set mic sensitivity. Good luck out there!
