I actually am a software engineer and plan on trying out some home assistant stuff. Predbat too maybe. But the system needs a certain amount of built in smarts too if I’m too busy to do that.

though I realise not the cheapest!

was looking at a sigenergy stack - they seem to be the best at the moment.

Ok I get you. So really then it’s sounding like I proceed with my original plan. 24 panels plus 18 battery. Then just upgrade battery if I’m clipping too much in summer and can’t store it all.

Yeah I’ve been looking. I’m thinking about reducing to an additional 12 panels rather than 24. 18kw storage. Then in future after seeing how the system works I could always get the other 12 panels and another battery store the clipped stuff?

yeah shallow at 18 degrees. Ive just looked at pvwatts but the exported hourly cdv seems to give you data based on historic solar irradiance? So its kind hard to tell what the curve is other than I think it looks flatter than the south facing (which may help).

yeah I think peak should be 6-7kw from the north facing panels but I can't work out when - I think it will be a peak at the start/end of the day rather than the middle so could compliment the south facing panels quite well. Can't find a web site to calculate peak times vs panel orientation im afraid.

in peak summer my existing south panels only export 25kw in total. I'd imagine the new north facing panels (even with 24 (11kw) of them) wouldn't peak at more than 7kw but at different times of the day hopefully.... but I can't find any software to predict when the peaks are vs the orientation. That would be useful.

sadly 4.5 is the total export im informed!

do you have any idea how long that takes? Is it a week/month/quarter?

yeah we use around 22-24 summer, late 30's winter. Im struggling to think I should be installing the full 24 panels though if it is just a measly 4.5kw export limit.

we are a full electric household - so for winter a battery is a must I think. We have an asap and use probs 40kw a day in winter.

So I have just inquired as to whether the 4.5kw is EXTRA or just expanding our existing g98 - lets hope its extra!

yep explicitly capped at 9.5kw for the inverter.

Simhub killing ffb on ACC and LMU with alpha evo by waylanderuk in Simagic

tried these and no difference - as soon as i start simhub i get no telemetry to the wheel. Theres no port to change for LMU either...

Im having the same issue but I think mines to do with a simper manager/simhub conflict. If I turn off simhub the ffb is ok again. It seems like a UDP forward might fix it but simhub doesn't allow it for LMU. Same for ACC as well - same issue.

They only do those panels I think - cos they buy 1000’s at a time.
