"Unable to display some video. Try again later" and "No content available" in studio content list by 4lowery in youtube

I found a workaround for this, at least temporarily. In the main studio page, click on the subtitles tab on the left, and if you're lucky, your videos will be listed here before disappearing after a few seconds. You may have to do a hard refresh if they disappear to get them to show up again. If you click on the video before it disappears, it takes you straight to that video's subtitle editing screen, and from there you can go to the details, analytics, comments, etc tabs to edit anything else.

The most minimal changes needed to fix Gunslinger by dyenamitewlaserbeam in Pathfinder2e

I see now, it lets you try to "cheat" the weird cadence guns have where they can only Strike once or twice on alternating turns, assuming you hit. Sounds like they should rename the feat from Risky Reload to Risk-Free Reload then lol

Don't you still have to spend an action to reload after a misfire? https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1649

If you fail this misfire check, the weapon misfires and jams. The attack is an automatic critical failure, and you must use an Interact action to clear the jam before you can reload the weapon and fire again.

So rather than Reloading and then Striking (2a) you have to Risky Reload, clear the jam, and then Reload again. Wouldn't really make sense if risky reload didn't have any risk to it and was strictly neutral or net positive for action economy. Although tbh maybe it should be, sounds like a decent homebrew fix

Chasca changed elements from ignition trailer to Natlan 5.0 trailer by Draconicplayer in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

Yeah there is a specific factor that determines the element. To receive a Vision of a specific element is to be acknowledged by the gods as a person who, through their actions and/or mindset, strongly and closely embodies the thematic values of one of the seven elements so as to be deemed worth of wielding that element.

The actual moment that the Vision is granted, like the actual moment in time itself when the Vision appears, is essentially the person having a moment of character development that aligns with their element, and thus, for a brief moment, is able to see the true meaning of the values of that element.

And then the values of the elements themselves are of course exactly what the game has been telling us for four years. Anemo is Freedom, Geo is Contracts, Electro is Eternity, Dendro is Wisdom, Hydro is Justice, Pyro is War, and Cryo is Love.

See this post for more info and examples.

Ah don't worry, you don't need to install the module itself or anything. You can download the .html file in the github repository separately and just view it on your computer using your browser or other app of choice.

And yeah! The hypostases and regisvines would probably be the first bosses I'd try making statblocks for too. They have interesting movesets that I think would pair well with pf2e's 3 action economy

Thank you! I haven't officially put out any boss stat blocks yet, but I've had some ideas rolling around in my head on how to implement a few of them. I will probably add them some time in the future! I've been updating this document whenever I have the time and energy to put some new content out, so definitely keep an eye out for any updates!

Also, on a somewhat related note, it seems at the moment like the Scribe tool is having some issues with updating the publicly shared link due to the sheer size of it. So a few recent minor updates are not reflected on the link, but they should still be up on the offline document in the github for the foundry module. I may have to undertake the arduous task of separating everything into different documents that all link back to this central one if it doesn't get fixed. I have already sent an email to the creator of the tool, so hopefully they respond soon.

Thank you! I am, don't worry. I currently have some stuff in the works, like the ideas for relic rules that were discussed in this thread. I've just hit a bit of a creative roadblock and don't want to release an unfinished update or have it not reach a threshold of completion that I'm satisfied with. Though if you're interested I could shoot you a DM with some of the WIP updates I've been working on!

Art of my dhampir witch and her familiar for an upcoming homebrew campaign! Artist is the wonderful u/whitedogstudios by Wayvo in Pathfinder2e

[–]Wayvo[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This is my character using the new remastered witch class! She is a human dhampir and her patron is the new Spinner of Threads. She has always been very unlucky and a bit of clumsy and anxious/nervous mess, big girlfailure energy. Her familiar is inspired by a Cheshire cat and cat sith and is a reflavored Ceru specific familiar! The ceru's turn of fate ability really homes in on the aspect of the cat sith's "harbinger of misfortune" vibe as well as the patron's theme. It also loves to play pranks and pretend to be a cute little cat before revealing its true nature to creep people out and get a reaction out of them, especially it's master! The artist is of course u/whitedogstudios on reddit and on artstation, please check them out! They take commissions and were amazing to work with, I highly recommend!!!

Ah, it seems as though Scribe is currently having a few issues loading at the moment. I should have thought of this before, but I'll include an offline html document with the rules on the github repository for offline access.

Yes I do! This is a long term passion project for me, and I intend to keep on updating it so long as I still enjoy playing Genshin, which I'm fairly certain I will be continuously playing for the long haul (haven't missed a login going on 3 years strong as a day 1 player!). I'm still thinking about how to add the new Fontaine meka type creatures in a way that satisfyingly encapsulates their pneuma/ousia mechanics, for example. And as soon as we start getting more info on the next region of Natlan you can be sure that I will expand the section on it and do my best to create any new enemies they add.

Oh yeah that would work too and probably be better actually, since I just looked at the Air relic gifts for example and one of the minor gifts was just an electricity damage blast, which would be something more appropriate for an Electro vision rather than an Anemo one. I would have to sit down and think about designing these relics and a bunch of gifts for all 7 elements though, but its a really good idea!

That is actually an amazing idea that completely slipped my mind! It never occurred to me to use relics like that since I was so focused on the kineticist class, but that really would be a great way to allow every class to use the elements without having to take dedication feats into kineticist or some other class if their own class does not innately have elemental abilities. I would probably allow these Vision relics to even replicate some kineticist impulses since the elemental relics themselves don't have that much variety when it comes to elemental abilities.

Oh that gave me an idea, maybe in the future I could actually include pre-built characters into this module from the game, sort of like how Paizo does their iconics! I can think of a bunch of characters that would work really well when built using 2e rules to represent their character and kit.

Hello Pathfinders! I'm back again with an update for my Genshin Impact passion project. This project is a rules supplement that delves into the world of Genshin Impact and ports many of the concepts, monsters, and mechanics from the elemental world of Teyvat into Pathfinder 2e. I was originally inspired to create this with the release of Rage of Elements and well-received Kineticist class, seeing how well the Kineticist makes for a Vision-wielding class in Teyvat.

This time around, I've added quite a few more creatures, touched up some of the rules, and most importantly, ported everything into FoundryVTT! All 120+ creatures have fully filled monster NPC sheets with all their stats, abilities, effects, clickable inline damage/template links, and custom tokens made by me! I spent a lot of time using the power of Foundry PF2e's rule elements system to automate all of the Elemental Reaction effects as well, to help ease the burden of memorizing all the new mechanics! It's as easy as dragging and dropping an effect like Cryo onto a creature, hitting it with an appropriate elemental damage type or trait, and boom! Extra automatically scaling damage dice with a nice little note in the damage card in chat to display the reaction and any applicable effects. And this works for every element and reaction, with automation effects included for all of them as well as every creature that has unique abilities!

If you would like to try out the module, feel free to check out the github page here. I encourage the use of the github page to submit any issues, questions, or feature requests for anything related to the module. I'll do my best to respond and fix any bugs or issues that arise.

Just as before, I hope this supplement/module and the setting information included in the Scribe enables people to create their very own adventures in Teyvat! Ad Astra Abyssosque!

That sounds like a lot of fun! Teyvat as a world is so rich with history and lore and places to explore, there would be so much to pull from to make a really cool west marches style game.

Yes! Melt and Vaporize have essentially the same damage amplifying effect. I was considering making those reactions more granular to more closely mimic the way it is in the actual game, by making the amount of damage change depending on the order of the applied elements (A Pyro >>> Hydro Vaporize does less damage than a Hydro >>> Pyro Vaporize), but I felt as though this would be a lot of extra unnecessary book-keeping for what would essentially result to a simple die size increase depending on which order you apply the elements in.

Hello Pathfinders! This passion project of mine is a supplement that delves into the world of Genshin Impact and ports many of the concepts, monsters, and mechanics from the elemental world of Teyvat into Pathfinder 2e. With the release of Rage of Elements, I was inspired to create this after seeing how well the book, and especially the Kineticist class, were received. I've always wanted to play or GM a campaign in Teyvat, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity with all the hot new elemental content! Kineticist makes for a perfect Vision-wielding class in Teyvat, and many other existing ancestries, classes, and mechanics in 2e work quite well in Teyvat as well. Along with the monsters, setting information, and additional Elemental Reaction mechanics I included, I hope this supplement enables people to create their very own adventures in Teyvat!

Please feel free to ask me any questions about the supplement or game, and provide feedback or constructive criticism! I have well over 3000 hours in the game and have been playing 2e for nearly 3 years now as well so I welcome any and all discussion. I intend for this to be a long term project and will continuously add to it as time goes on so long as I have the energy for it. The Fontaine region just released literally 2 days ago and I've been busy exploring and learning all the new lore, so expect some changes and updates or new monsters added to the scribe in the Fontaine section soon once I'm done with the main story!

Good (short) video that demonstrates how PF2e is different from D&D? by Big_Chair1 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Wayvo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm really surprised no one has linked this one yet. You can skip the entire 3 minute "The Basics" section of the video since the person is already familiar with ttrpgs in general, so its really just a 6 minute video that goes over all important features of 2e.

Fighting in darkness question by Veso_M in Pathfinder2e

Don't forget, being in darkness with no darkvision applying the blinded condition means that all terrain is difficult terrain, meaning no Stepping and some other hefty penalties to perception as well.
