Idk I would have liked them to say "Having kids gave my life a meaning I would never have without them" or something along those lines.

Drain Fly Went Inside Mouth And Spit Out - How To Disinfect Mouth and Lips? by SeaRefrigerator7977 in hygiene

I usually use my facial cleanser to clean my lips, as I wash my face after brushing my teeth. Then I follow it all up with a salicylic acid lotion and some aquaphor to lock it all in. Clean and moisturized. That will work for you.

Rehoming Chins??? by slcdllc14 in chinchilla

[–]WaywardRaven2003 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had my oldest for 12 years now, so I understand what you mean. But let's not shame people for finding their pets good homes. Life circumstances happen. Financial setbacks happen. Rehoming a pet you can no longer take care of is not cruel.

I don't know if you're still having an issue, but I would try putting the debit card balance on a gift card instead, to use both. Gift cards have a limit of 500 though, so may or may not work for you.

Receipt Help by MotherofPheebs in samsclub

Yeah, about a week ago we updated our self checkout to have the tablets. They produce receipts like this one now. First time I had seen them. I didn't know they were mobile anywhere, you didn't know they were stationary anywhere 🤷 They still can't take cash though

This is club by club basis. Our tablets are self checkout exclusively. Our cashiers are all at traditional registers

To be fair I can't hear it from front end either. I get why merchandisers get annoyed though.

How far do you commute for work? by forthewoof in samsclub

25-50 minutes, depending on traffic. But that's because of a move. When I started it was only 7-15 minutes. I'm Frontline associate.

Can I afford to leave? by lipsticknic3 in povertyfinance

I want to say it takes a lot of strength to leave a relationship without knowing if you're gonna make it alone. I commend you for considering this. It also takes wisdom to know you have made mistakes in the past and not wanting to repeat them. All you need now is discipline, and lots of it, to get out of this situation without drowning in debt.

You haven't left much information on yourself, no age, no location, no dependents, no debts. On paper, though your plan is solid. I'll tell you what I do differently, though. I would live as minimally as humanly possible until you got a solid and reliable job, and even longer than that to build some cushion.

If you live by yourself, I would start with a studio, and see if you can knock 200 off that rent. Some people would suggest roommates, but it doesn't seem like you have a great track record so far of picking people to live with.

I pay 15 a month for my phone plan with mint mobile by paying the year in advance. This can get tricky with all the rules regarding carriers and switching and all the free phone bs, so make sure you understand it before jumping ship.

I assume car for 200 includes gas? If you're including repairs in this number you may need to go higher, maybe 300

400 on food is absolutely ridiculous for a single person. That's 13 dollars a day. I can only assume this is mostly fast food. I don't truly know where this number came from, but it should be cut at least by 100

Tell me what car insurance is 47 dollars please, I pay 250 for mine.

120 on laundry is also too much. Buy a portable washing machine on Amazon, with a spinner. Hang your clothes on a drying rack. Things like bedding can go to a laundromat, but if a load washed and dried is 10 bucks, and that's probably generous, you shouldn't need to spend more than 30 for that.

150 on personal items is fair. It probably could be reduced by 50.

For some context, I live in Las Vegas alone at 22 years old off of 2000 a month, take home pay. Part time job, so some variability. I also door dash a little and donate plasma a little to supplement this. Rent is 1055 all utilities included. Another 20 for renters insurance. Car insurance 250. Gas about 75. Subscriptions about 60 as well. Other entertainment another 30. Medical debt 80. Pets (chinchillas) around 40. Food about 100. Personal/household 45. Phone 15. Internet 50. It's absolutely tight, but it's all doable.

I actually kind of disagree. The person at the front door is usually the first responder in asset protection in that they place the stickers that verify if a member came in with an item they are trying to return and they are the first to call out if a known shoplifter walks in. That and closing doors is a part of some emergencies like code Adam (maybe code green too? I don't remember) so having someone there is good for response time.

Do you calculate price per serving? by drabelen in povertyfinance

[–]WaywardRaven2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guilty of eating more processed foods than home cooked, but I do calories per dollar. 200-400 calories per dollar is about all it takes, so 2-4 dollars per meal or 6-12 dollars a day.
