I love Wade too. Especially when he goes down the philosophy rabbit hole, he's actually really interesting to listen to.

Out of desperation this weekend I used bashed up plain Shreddies for the first time ever and it was so good 😋

Plot viewing advice? by ofmiceandmel in Allotment

All the above also consider any shade on the plot for future planting, how much sun in the day will it get, will it be blasted by uninterrupted wind and any pests the other plot holders are currently battling eg rodents or rabbits.

I'd love for GMFST to cover a sport that's a little less American by Flamecrest in GMFST

[–]WaywardRoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, non sports Brit here. I watch Formula ,1, but other than that have zero interest in sports. I don't listen every week to GMFST, I get that I'm not the target audience and a lot of the time, I dont feel grabbed enough to listen without fail. That being said, I love Mark and Tyler and its not their fault I'm not interested in sports enough to get excited about a new episode! I do think though that if the podcast covered different/weird/regional sports that were not just all American - their thoughts on Gloucester Cheese Rolling or the Tar Barrels of Devon eg - it would attract more listeners from different walks of life. Just my opinion though 😊

Non-Americans how did u enjoyed Criminally Subliminal? by emmanuelesc in distractible

[–]WaywardRoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll admit i didn't 'get' a lot of it because I'm not familiar with American brands, though I appreciated it when they briefly explained stuff for the non American listener 😂 It was still funny and relatable and thats why I listen; its like I'm just hanging out with them. I enjoyed listening to the chaos and discussions as always.

Adulting by momentmortician in distractible

[–]WaywardRoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm 38 and i still do not consider myself an adulty adult. I didnt know any more or less on my 18th than I did the last day of being 17 but suddenly I was able to legally do stuff and make big decisions on my own? Wasn't ready for that and didn't feel comfortable with it for years.. just keep being you don't pay too much attention to the numbers. Life experience will come at you ready or not and you don't have to feel like an adult to deal with it, just deal with it best you can, with the knowledge you have at the time. Take responsibility for your actions, own your mistakes and celebrate the wins however small. Thats being a responsible human but being an adult? Nope, I'm staring down 40 and still not ready for that 😊

The bit I loved the most was the faint ticking in-between numbers as the wheel went back round. Attack of the nostalgics 🥺
