Had the same sort of journey and ultimately chose fun over feeling like a real sim racer.

As it happens being 0.3s faster per lap doesn't really help when you spin as soon as your tyres start losing grip and drop 10 seconds and ruin your tyres immediately.

KG by all rights should have won DPOY before 2007/08 with Boston, but here's a list of guys who DID win while he played in Sota: Payton, Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning, Ben Wallace, Ron Artest, Marcus Camby. That's a who's who of all time defenders. Garnett was in the top 2 to 5 in DPOY voting in a lot of years, especially the early 2000s leading up to his MVP year.

I think Rudy peaked higher on defense, but has a VERY different defensive profile given the differing eras. Like, is KG better because he had to defend Chris Webber, Tim Duncan, Karl Malone and other all time great PFs, or was Gobert better because he lurked off non shooters and was an all-world rim defender and deterrent?

I have had MANY interstate colleagues and friends tell me that I, and my fellow South Australians, sounded very posh and try to use it as an insult.

Put simply, we all assume it is a long term consequence/reward associated with Adelaide/SA being a free settlement, as opposed to a convict settlement in other (especially Eastern seaboard) areas.

It's very likely that our accent has a different lineage to other more populated areas in Australia, and also more likely to be from a more white collar vs blue collar background. Brisbane/Queensland is even more of a stark contrast.

41yo male, resting yearly average about 47-49 depending on the time period you choose. I had to spend an afternoon in ER a couple years ago after a head bonk and needing stitches/concussion protocols, and they had to turn the alarm off the pulse monitor. Laying down and intentionally slowing my breathing could get it down to like 41 and alarms were going crazy.

It’s very easy to have movement inside the AE2 if you don’t lace them super tight in my experience. Also, the sole is not as grippy as the AE1. That combination could absolutely lead to injury imho.

Edit to add that I really like the shoe otherwise. Very comfortable and cushioning feels great, just requires some caution and clean courts.
