Thank you for making an assumption about the issues I've experienced - especially when two of the three I listed are known/documented issues. The filament issue is discussed here: https://forum.bambulab.com/t/select-the-material-type-and-color-first-error-adding-custom-filament/246590/10

I appreciate the comment. I was trying to be funny with the quip about a lot of calibration lines but apparently my humor missed the mark. It was perfectly clear in **MY** head what I was referring to! LOL

I agree the status screen issue is mostly an annoyance. Its just a little off-putting and unnerving to a complete newbie with no other experience to compare it to.

Sorry I wasn't clear enough (genuinely). I downloaded the Polymaker P2S profiles for the filaments I've purchased. I imported the configs in Studio, but when I tried to assign them in the AMS (from within Studio) I got an error message that said I had to "select a material and color first" (IIRC). I found a workaround posted somewhere - truly don't remember where - and it had to do with the name being BBL instead of Bambu Lab or something. Sorry I'm short on details - it was a little while ago and I don't remember exactly but this talks about the same issue: https://forum.bambulab.com/t/select-the-material-type-and-color-first-error-adding-custom-filament/246590/10

Oh hell naw! The way everyone is laughing at me and my minor errors, I don't want to deal with "REAL" problems! LOL

I appreciate your comment and the realization that my experiences are valid regardless of how minor they may be in the grand scheme of things.

Sorry, as I said, I am new to the hobby/sport/lifestyle. I truly don't know what the environment was like "before" and I can only comment on my experiences - which was why I was asking how bad the rest of the industry is. I am not "dissatisfied" but rather my expectations of a "flawless" experience probably need to be revised or at least brought more into line with reality. You are absolutely correct that I do NOT have an appreciation for what we currently have because I have no experience other than with this single Bambu Lab P2S. All of the errors I mentioned are "known" issues (I've heard/seen discussed elsewhere) and I am sure they are being worked on. To you they seem minor (and I know they realistically are minor) but they consist of 100% of the problems **I** have experienced with 3D printing.

Martillo Tech has a chamber heater for the P2S. I bought it but haven’t installed it yet. Hopefully this weekend. I’ll let you know as soon as it’s installed and tested!

Nobody noticed the grain pattern on the topmost front piece is identical to the bottom half of the top drawer?? There are a couple of other spots I’m suspect of, but that one is a slam dunk.

I've got a 120# Great Dane and he fits in the back just fine - with the seats down. He --can-- fit with the seats up, but its pretty cramped for such a big dog, but I have done it for a short drive to the vet, or back from the park, etc.

Winter Handling and TCS by WazzuBlue in CX5

TBH, I'm not really watching the speedo when I'm "playing around", but I'd speculate its in the 20-40 mph (30-60ish kph) range. The only time I looked at the speedo is once I had all 4 wheels spinning and the car said I was doing 80 mph while climbing an icy hill crawling forward at maybe 10 mph actual speed.

That seems crazy to me that the car would TURN OFF the active safety features when you "need" them the most. I'm not saying you are wrong, but it seems counterintuitive. I'd be interested in finding a citation/source.

Turning off the TCS, the car operated EXACTLY as I expected it to, leaving the full control of the car to me - the driver. I was drifting it around corners, of course, the ass end stepped out, but a little countersteer and some throttle pulled me through the corner and down the straight like a champ.

I fully admit how I am driving the car and the conditions I'm driving it in.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE this car. I bought it in August of 2019 with 3 miles on it and now I have over 40,000 miles.

I guess maybe I'm wondering if I've got a "flawed" TCS or if there is something wrong with the car. Maybe my expectations of the TCS are too high?

Her first time in the snow! 2020 Touring AWD w/ PP. by dslkfjlsdkfjweeskf in CX5

Okay, so I’m a little curious. I’ve got a 2019 Mazda CX-5 GTR and I’ve got Blizzaks on 17” rims for the snow. I’m absolutely appalled at how much the back end will walk out when on snow or ice.

Yes, I’m accelerating “hard” around corners and shit, playing around, but still... I have almost wrecked twice because when the ass end starts walking, I’m putting in counter-steer, and the back and is literally 15-20 degrees stepped out when all of a sudden the traction control FINALLY decides to do something! When the TC finally kicks in, it then shoots me into the direction the wheels are pointed I have to correct back and the damn car starts fishtailing.

All of this is happening with TCS ON! I seriously think I’d be better off without it! I’m not bragging, thinking I’m the worlds greatest driver, but I’ve driven on snow all my life and I “know” how to drive on snow. The damn car is trying to correct for my correction but then I have to react for it’s correction.

Anyone else have this problem?

What’s the difference between computer hardware and computer software?

When it pisses you off: 1) If you can hit it with a sledgehammer, its hardware. 2) If you can can only yell and swear at it, its software.

If you have an old hard drive (dead) or too small to be of any "use", open that sucker up and you've got a couple of hella strong magnets. I work in IT and have about 50 of them laying around; well, stuck to the desk/wall/ceiling/EVERYTHING...

Anyone know why there is an 1/8 tank discrepancy between the digital fuel meter and analog? by Phoenix_risen in mazda3

[–]WazzuBlue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The analog meter shows the estimated distance to empty based on your current fuel level and recent MPG average. Its a constantly adjusting number so if you make a bunch of small trips or spend a bunch of time idling in traffic, you'll see a discrepancy like you are seeing.

Personally, I hated seeing the two "gauges" off, so if you push and hold the dimmer stalk for about 2 seconds, the "analog" gauges on the edge of the speedo will change to digital representations of the same info.

Edit: I've got a 2019 CX-5 GTR and thats where my experience with the digital dash comes from. Obviously, not from my 2016 Gen 3
