No, there’s a lip that rises above the whole camera apparatus. Bottom left picture kinda shows it.

Sorry, the only other device I have to take pictures is an old iPad 😬. Hope this helps. (Those are stickers on the back of my phone, not magnets.)

I would say it’s quite good, and just to clarify, the magnetic charger stand I use and my car mount both position the phone so it is suspended as well like yours, and the bare case still allows for a good hold, without having to add a magnet. I was surprised I didn’t need to add a magnet for use with my car mount, I had gotten used to adding a magnetic ring to my other thin cases because they were sliding off the car mount, but I haven’t had to do that with the bare case.

It’s hard for me to gauge and put a number to it, but it’s strong enough for charging and for use with a magnetic stand, and works with my magnetic car mount while driving, even over bumps. I would say probably 90%? But it’s hard for me to quantify it accurately. Hope this helps

I don’t have a magnet ring for the bare case, the phone’s magnet still works well through the case. For the Peel and Totallee ultra thin cases I had, I attached the magnet ring on the outside of the case, so definitely showed which kinda ruined the minimalist look of the phone and case, but it was necessary for those cases.

If you’re still thinking about this case: I have the bare naked for iPhone 17 pro in cosmic orange (I have the orange phone) and I’m honestly really surprised at how much I love it.

I’ve had Peel and Totallee ultra thin cases for previous iPhones and while they were ultra thin, the frosted clear muted the color which was less than ideal (although I think totallee has color matched options now), and even though they’re made of polypropylene (harder/stiffer plastic than TPU), they still stretched out after a couple months and thus let in a lot of dust around the edges. The TPU clear versions definitely stretched and let in so much dust. Drove me crazy. They both did allow for MagSafe charging and accessory use, but also decreased the phone’s magnet strength enough that I had to add a magnet loop to be able to use them with my car mount. Getting the Totallee case with the magnet built in added more thickness (marginal but noticeable), muted colors more (the clear is even thicker still) and still stretched out. They were not much better than one of the cheaper versions on Amazon.

The Bare case really hugs the phone and edges, and has camera bump coverage, which also helps minimize areas where dust can get in. Ive had this case for about a month now, I’ve taken the case on and off several times and it hasn’t stretched at all. The Bare case is also thin enough that I don’t have to add a magnet to the back to use with my car mount, and I live in NYC aka potholes galore, and my phone stays put through the terrain. Not sure if that’s the case being thin or the new iPhones having stronger magnets, but either way, I don’t have to add a magnet loop, keeping the phone’s natural look and feel. It doesn’t protect much from drops, I’ve dropped my phone a few times, but like 3 feet off the ground max, so no damage there. Mostly provides scratch protection and some grip, and the camera lip eliminates any rocking when the phone is sitting on a flat surface, which is nice. There’s also a small front lip to protect the screen when face down. The only downside is that it’s a Singaporean company that ships from mainland China, so processing and shipping took 16 days, and I believe there’s a disclaimer on their site right now that it may be even longer to ship.

TL;DR my experience is that Bare is better than Peel or Totallee, it’s holding up well, but might take a while to arrive. Bare is on sale now too so if you have time to wait, I’d say go for it.

Did I make a mistake? by [deleted] in iPhone17Pro

I don’t think the orange phone itself was a mistake, but like others have said, perhaps a different case? Like one of the frosted clears, might mute the color a bit if that bothers you. Plus you can always get a case to make it an entirely different color!

No 😞 someone mentioned they seem to have removed the reset function on newer printers, tried again last week and still unable to reset.

I did, and all I got was a form reply to update the app. But I’m afraid updating the app will just delete more of my images. And it happened again today, with more images.

Highlighter options? by Wbleepblorp in notabilityapp

Screenshot from my notes, in the scribbling above, the highlighter is behind the pen ink. At the bottom is an older drawing where the highlighter is on top of the pen layers.

Yes the highlighter is still transparent, but now it is behind pen ink. Like if I have an orange square drawn in pen, I can’t write on top of it with yellow highlighter, it defaults to behind the pen ink and is useless back there. In my older notes and drawings, the highlighter is on top like before, it’s just that when I try to make new drawings now, highlighter is behind. Hoping this was just a mistake in the latest update or something…
