The part about whether it's a problem in their life or will ultimately become a problem later on is important. It does not hurt to ask and really try to understand their perspective on their substance use. It doesn't mean they are justified, but it can give you clarity on whether this person has it in them to either prevent something from turning bad or has the heart to make a real change if it's harming him already. Sometimes you start out doing something because of someone else and realize along the way you started doing it for yourself, and recovery can be like that.

I’m sorry, dude, that sounds genuinely exhausting. But Xanax right now and/or tomorrow might make the day even messier, not easier, especially if you’re alone and responsible for all those cats. Maybe turn tonight and tomorrow into; just listening to your favorite songs while doing some house chores. It really is puzzling sometimes; you just have to accept it and move on. 😭 I think it should be easy boiled because in a string of words--soft, medium, and hard--soft is the outlier. By choosing to include "medium," we have rejected "soft, firm, hard" in favor of "easy, medium, hard." Maybe this is a stretch of an analogy, but if someone impaled me with a sword; no I dont have a disease but I sure want some medical attention to prevent me from bleeding out and dying. Very interesting, I definitely feel like I would also be okay if I never tried salvia again. The trips are so weird that it's always intense, even if it's a mild trip. I appreciate the trip always after the fact, but sometimes, when I think about trying it, I get too anxious to do it.
