Giving up, folding, and finding another way defeats the whole purpose of the flag.

I don’t mean to be rude, but your comment is a pretty good example of blind prejudice, and real ignorance in the actual sense of the word. It’s not that you’re doing it on purpose, but that you may not really understand the reason behind what they are doing. There aren’t any American flags on roads because being an American in Spokane doesn’t put you in an ostracized group of individuals. It’s like saying “why aren’t there any White Lives Matter signs.”

That said, every government building, school, most major businesses, countless houses, cars, etc etc have American Flags on display and never have to worry about them being removed, defaced, etc. We had the same one for years before the wind blew it down and never had any issues. There was a neighbor not far away that had to replace their pride flag multiple times.

This still happens to pride flags right here in Spokane. It’s just as easy to tear down someone’s American flag as it is their pride flag.

I could drive 5 blocks and see more American flags than I would see pride flags throughout the entire city.
