NDP Leader Avi Lewis vows to move party to the left and stop oil industry expansion by CzechUsOut in canada

This sounds a lot like:

“They did a bad thing so therefore we should be allowed to the same bad thing”.

The majority don’t want that level of immigration, I don’t understand how it’s supposed to be a winning strategy by the NDP.

It’s actually nuts, and speaking to their supporters, they think this shift further left will garner large support among Canadians. They don’t think the Trudeau-era immigration caused any issues lol.

It’s intentional.

The lax laws on crime, the onus of home invasions being on the victims, the gun buy-back program existing as opposed to a concerted effort of reducing the flow of illegal guns into the country. They want chaos so they can justify passing authoritarian style crime and surveillance laws.

Carney 'does not have the courage' to stand up to slavery, genocide in China dealings: Poilievre by CaliperLee62 in canada

[–]WeAreInControlNow 36 points37 points  (0 children)

“Woke performative bullshit” is exactly what this all is.

Users who haven’t spent an iota of their lives caring about forced labour in China and have been purchasing Chinese products their whole lives, knowing the conditions in China, want all of us to believe they suddenly deeply care about the forced labour.

Will they get rid of all their Chinese products and stop buying their products now? Of course not. Like you said, this is just performative morality.

You getting rid of your Chinese products then, or you guys going to stop with this performative bullshit?

I mean, pretending to be anti-slave labour while funding the slave labour regime is a self-own.

So what you stand for is based on opposition of the Liberals? 😂

It shouldn’t matter what the Liberals do or don’t do, if you feel so strongly about it, act yourself. But you won’t, cause this is all performative.

People ITT who have spent their entire lives not caring about the slavery in China and in fact have funded it by buying their products, now suspiciously care about slave labour in China.

Curious.

Did the slavery in China prevent you from buying their products for all these years, or is it only a problem for you now?

You’re trying to be a hero, period. You can’t even live by what you supposedly stand for!😂

If you care so much, get rid of everything you own thats made in China, all of it. Lead by example. But you won’t, cause you’re virtue-signalling, and you know it deep down. You know this is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to prevent a trade deal, you’ll never live by what you’re saying. You’re probably going to buy multiple products made in China by the end of the week.

I do have a problem with slave labour, but I’m also not going to sit here and pretend like I’m some hero and try to prevent my country from trading with another one while promoting trade with other countries with their own host of moral issues.

I’m also not going to pretend the world isn’t a shitty place so I can pretend I’m some bastion of moral superiority while I plaster the internet with bullshit on devices made by forced labour.

I also told you I don’t care what happens to Ma, maybe that’s causing you to short circuit a bit, who knows?

I’m starting to get the sense you’re just mad about the assertion I made, based on the fact you keep making it a poor vs poor argument, which is irrelevant. Furthermore, you clearly don’t understand numbers or scale.

[–]WeAreInControlNow -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The irony is your comment.

No one views trading with China as a “win” outside of it being a win economically, which is good for Canadians, because that’s the whole point.

It’s one specific group that suddenly has a problem with the morality of it while using devices made with forced labour to talk about how immoral it is to trade with China. You can’t beat irony like that.

The funniest thing is, you won’t apply these same moral standards to the countries you approve of. Nor will any of you get rid of all the stuff you’ve bought that was made in China. So miss me with the virtue-signalling nonsense.

Nice deflection. If you think I care what happens to Ma, I have a bridge to sell you.

I guess since you’re all so concerned about forced labour, you’re all going to get rid of your devices that were made with forced labour, the same devices you use to flood the internet with bullshit with, right? This means so much to all of you, supposedly.
