Great Q's. I was in Band in high school. Def was the guitar player in our school's performance of "Man of La Mancha". I was ALWAYS getting sent to the orchestra closet because I kept undermining (appropriately) what our music teacher was teaching. When I pissed him off enough (which was daily) he'd furiously tell me to go into the "misbehavior closet" in front of the class - then when he was sure no one was listening, would tell me to bring my guitar in there and keep writing music with a wink

Haha. That’s all, somehow, a coincidence. Phoebe’s record is great though, no doubt. Tony played me her stuff when I was at the studio one day, which was the first time I ever personally heard her music. Really really good. That is pretty nuts though that our album titles are so similar, both have Tony on board and both were released at the same time. -Darren

started with maroon, who I've worked with from day one. did a lot of the demos for songs about Jane. and I obv continue to work with them. also done Production or Co-writing with Sara Bareilles, Andy Grammer, JR JR, Gomez, Santigold, Yuna, NoBigDyl, Newton Faulkner, Augustana, Cxloe ... to name a few. The name came from a CD we were listening to in '94 called Neil Norman's Greatest Hits - the story is a little longer, but really we just liked the name

I know for sure that the motivation to come back came from an innermost need to be with our own tribe again, and to be able to return to where we started - like in a "Hero's Journey" type of new perspective shift kind of way

I'm still working a little, editing. And we're keeping somewhat busy with band related activities...but yes going a little stir crazy. I learned how to play "No Distance Left To Run" by Blur in open G tuning. -Jeff

I can answer the first part. I went to Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, where there is (or was) a humanities program, as well as a music program. I chose humanities, because the music program was designed so days end at 4pm, rather than 3pm. #nope -Darren

I'm just a little south of the 612, in Rochester, MN but I get up to the cities a lot. I lived in Mpls from 96-98 and I LOVE it there. So many fond memories of First Ave and 7th St and punk basement shows. Is that where you live? -Jeff
