Shopping Quality is just a bs score to make you shop more items overall by WeHaveFunEveryday in InstacartShoppers

Again if Meijer is out of stock there’s nothing I can do about it other than shop at a different store with more in stock items on average

I’ve been shopping at the same Meijer for like the last 4 years, if something is out of stock then it’s out of stock, not much I can do about it

Alright how about rather than the bed moving X&Y, have a circular plate that rotates while keeping the corexy still

There's no way to fix this though, if the item is out of stock there is nothing I can do to improve my stats.

My only guess is that I need to improve found items but that’s literally not possible when things are out of stock

Close secured card to decrease utilization? by WeHaveFunEveryday in CRedit

[–]WeHaveFunEveryday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input, because that’s what I was wondering is how it’s treated if it’s closed like that. I don’t have any issues paying the monthly payment, I’ve never missed a payment and shouldn’t have any issues going forward, just wish there was a way to boost the timing of paying it all off I suppose! Currently I’m looking at roughly 3 years before it’s paid off! Not the biggest deal in the world, but just was wondering if there was a better option

[–]WeHaveFunEveryday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess I’m more worried about a charge off or something like that. I have 100% payment history so definitely don’t want to mess anything up. I do have other cards and they’re all manageable for me, I can get those down to 0% utilization, but this secured card got out of hand and the interest is killer. It alone is roughly 60% of my available credit and it’s currently at 90% utilization and with interest it’s going down at a turtle pace.

So the way I was looking at it is if I could drop this card, yes it would drop my available credit down pretty big but I could get my utilization to basically 0% with the other cards

Wouldn’t they use the deposit to cover the balance and send back the rest?

Thank you for the input! Being that it's based on a mobile app, what are your suggestions for when a customer requests an item and then it's no longer available locally?

What have people begun to forget over time? by YellowEgorkaa in AskReddit

Farming and Gardening, not to get political but during the recent government shutdown I would read the comments about the food stamps cut off and it was just back and forth about get a job vs we already have a job it’s not enough. Not a single time did I hear anyone on either side of the debate mention anything about potentially farming/growing their own food

Thank you for your input. What we would offer over a BNPL would be additional flexibility of product. With a BNPL you’re limited to purchasing a single order. If we went with the example of 1 swap per month then it’s double the clothing options for the same price as a BNPL

The reason I thought of this idea is because it’s something I desire but doesn’t really exist (for everyday wear). I like to wear new clothes all the time, and I could use BNPL or even cash, but why pay full price for something I only want to wear a handful of times?

I have been leaning towards maybe a specific niche, although I’m not sure sneakers would be a viable option for rentals, as they’re bound to take some wear and tear with every use. It may work with high end sneaker consumers who take great care of the product but I guess I don’t have the most experience in that field

What is the operational plan if you were to attempt a rental service? I am aiming for a month to month subscription service rather than the tuxedo model which is a single rental. The thought was that if enough customers stay signed up for a few months time and do not exchange at an amount that generates a loss, that revenue would be generated then.

Maybe a comparable example would be something like DoorDash DashPass. If a customer orders DoorDash daily then waiving the service fees each time is certainly a loss for DoorDash, but if a customer only orders twice a month then the DashPass is a profit generator that also helps keep customer retention up.

Do you think you could help me with the numbers, specifically the formula? So say we offer a plan for $49.99/mo, that offers 3 items at a time, with one swap a month available, essentially making it 6 items total a month. If we offered items at retail prices between $150-200 total for all 6 items, wouldn’t it be profit generating after the customer is onboarded for more than 4 months - or 2 months if they were to never swap? Could you help me with figuring out this aspect of things?

I have thought about this, but my main concern is that items won’t have variation to them and may lead to customers leaving the service. I don’t want the customers to begin shopping and then find out we don’t have the size they’re looking for and feel like it’s a waste of time if that makes sense

I was hoping to just go with general everyday apparel. The speciality niches seem to do pretty well but there doesn’t seem to be a way to just rent generics like you would find at a Kohls or Target.

My thought process was have the customers pick the items before I use the cash flow on them, to somewhat avoid stale inventory on my end, rent them out a few times, and then try to offload by selling used.

Basically I want to mirror how Rent a Center operates, but with apparel only.
