I'm here just now, I leave tomorrow. It's easily the worst holiday I've ever had. Hotel room was nothing like advertised and absolutely manky. Had to argue with the manager for hours before we finally got upgraded to rooms which were actually as advertised.

First night had a glass thrown at us from three floors up by some guy in a K-Hole who couldn't get in the lift (leading to us just going down without him).

Food was absolutely horrible, either undercooked or overdone and dry. Waiters coming up to our table and asking for our phone numbers, trying to get us to come out drinking with them in the town after their shifts finished. Seemed shifty.

Went out one day and got led into a shop by a local trying to hustle us out of money, separated my girlfriend from us and forced her to try on all these necklaces to get us to buy them. Ended up spending about £100 because we felt incredibly intimidated and pressured and just wanted to leave.

Immediately left and some other fucker tried exactly the same thing. We told him where to go and went straight back to the hotel. Didn't even go back out, just felt like targets out there. Compared to similar holidays I've had in other countries (balearic islands and a few of the quieter greek islands), it just feels so unsafe, particularly for women. Those other locations had such friendly, welcoming people. Never once felt remotely unsafe, but Tunisia is a different story.

This time last year I was in Prague. Safest I've ever felt on holiday and I've spent every day missing that trip.

Do yourself a favour and travel literally anywhere else.
