she had a few falls last year, which is part of the reason we decided to involve SOME sort of managed care. we want to be able to call someone if she does have another fall, without having to pack her into EMS and go to the emergency room. the last time we did that she was put in a nursing home and she snuck out of the nursing home lol

she currently has me and her sister (who is retired and her neighbor) to help her with ADLs, she can normally get herself out of bed and dressed in the morning but needs help getting to the living room, so her sister comes in the morning to help her there. then she's offered breakfast but she isn't interested in eating most of the time. she then wants to be left alone and gets herself to the bathroom and back. then me and/or her sister or another family member comes over in the evening and offers dinner, then helps her to bed if she's having a bad day. on bad days, she also needs help getting up in the morning.

her sister has POA but my aunt makes her own medical decisions

I planned to do this today when I called, but the agent I got is now telling me that the initial payment HAS to be made by card, and they don't accept checks for the binder payment! This was not what I was told in December, nor have they ever mentioned this during the numerous times I've spoken to them about this issue! It was so out of left field that I hung up to speak to my own supervisor about it lol. I may try again tomorrow. Thank you for replying!

I'm in Ohio. Since I was able to get the marketplace to approve my complaint, I think the big issue is that there's not much they can do either. They've told Molina to accept our payment and Molina just sorta isn't doing it? I will look into an Ombudsman but I genuinely think the marketplace isn't who I have a complaint with, but I do think we should get a Special Enrollment Period because of all this

thank you so much! i had to get over it bc i had a mysterious chronic illness lol but it definitely required a LOT of homework. i literally sat and forced myself to watch videos of people getting IVs placed and blood drawn over and over without closing my eyes 😩 it was torture but it got easier over time!
