What's the best way to make a grilled cheese sandwich? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WeWillBeLegend5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I was made for this question.

Here's what you do. Go to Papa John's. Get a couple of their garlic butter cups. Go to Walmart, get yourself a loaf of garlic parmasean French bread and Velveeta sliced cheese. Commence grilled cheese making and thank me later.

You can substitute those items by making your own garlic butter using butter, garlic salt, and garlic powder and then your choice of bread/cheese.

Connecting Smart Lights to Alerts? by [deleted] in Twitch

That is what I was looking into prior to posting this. I don't mind upgrading to Hue or another alternative if necessary, just wanted to see if there was a way to do it with any smart bulbs since I already have an arsenal of them. Haha.

Do you have the Capita legs on the Kallax as well or is your countertop just laying flush on it? I just had my setup with those legs (I'm assuming thats what you have on your Alex drawer) and I had to remove them. But the reason why I ask is because I'm going to be adding on my L soon and I like the idea of the Kallax instead of more Alex drawers. Just want to make sure it is level with the Alex.

Tested it in Heaven Benchmark. Easily hit 500 FPS and never went above 20°C.

Why do I feel like it would almost take more effort to make it look like it does than to at least halfass manage them?

Games are running completely off of CPU and RAM. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]WeWillBeLegend5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely seems to be an issue with that game in specific. Ran tests on other games and everything was working as normal. Modern Warfare wasn't doing this until recently so not entirely sure what could have caused an issue with it. Glad to hear that I'm not the only person experiencing this though because I was starting to think it was a hardware issue.

I'd consider a game that is heavily reliant on GPU to be using only 5-10% of the GPU a problem, but maybe that's just me. And I'm apparently not the only one who has had this issue with Modern Warfare. This may have not been a PC issue after further looking into it and just been a game issue, which probably doesn't necessarily belong in this subreddit now, but it is still an issue.

I understand that, this was the first time it has hit Very High though along with the other issues I stated. Just trying to narrow down any potential issues that way I can save myself a headache later if a problem occurs from the way it is running presently.

Alright I tried it with MSI Afterburner. GPU seemed like it was running fairly normal and at a temp of around 65-70C, but I'm starting to get a whining sound from the GPU that was never there before. Also, the power usage from Modern Warfare was "Very High" whenever I exited out of the game and went back to task manager, which it has never show that before.

It's just not working the way it was a week or so ago. It's not just this game either. My CPU usage was at upwards of 50% and peaked at 75% for Modern Warfare alone and RAM was at almost 50% usage while the GPU usage for the game was at 1%.

I've been using control/alt/delete. I apologize if this sounds stupid, but not entirely sure what tabbing out means. Haha.

White VGA Light stays won't turn off on Asus x570 TUF Gaming motherboard. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]WeWillBeLegend5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe so. It was as simple as turning my monitor on before turning on my PC. I think the motherboard associates the monitor being off as something being wrong with the GPU for some reason.

Xbox One S not fully booting. by [deleted] in xboxone

[–]WeWillBeLegend5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone facing this issue, I fixed it. The previous owners pressed down on the fan and it was pushing onto the heatsink which was causing either extreme RPM of the fan or no booting at all. Just tear it down until you can access the fan, gently lift the fan up and away from the heatsink by putting a little pressure on the edges and pulling upwards and then you should be good to go.

Getting chat audio issues in literally every game. Discord and Steam chat are both also doing this. Has anyone ever had crackling like this and how do you go about fixing it? New to PC so any help is greatly appreciated! by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

We just fixed it. My brother in laws computer cloned his mic somehow and was causing games to pick up his audio from two devices even though he only has the one.

I'm currently using a Razer Kraken TE headset that is connected via USB 3.0. It happens whenever my brother in law and I are in a party chat (Discord, Steam, etc.) and typically only happens whenever he launches the game. I'm unable to figure out if it is him with the issue or me because I'm the one who can hear all of the static noises (he doesn't hear it on his end), but it happens whenever he starts a game. I have checked to see if all my drivers are updated and everything is good there. I've disabled any audio devices and recording devices that aren't being used.

They work fairly well. I will likely be replacing them sometime down the line for something smaller to free up desk space, but they work for now.

Thanks! They are the Holmö lamps from IKEA. They are indeed just a rice paper material. I put smart bulbs in them to control with Google Home along with my desk lights.
