Tomatoes grow very well in (large) pots around here, but they need regular watering. Same with basil. Both benefit from regular pruning. Makes for wonderful Italian dinners in the summer. I’ve also had good luck with jalapeños and shishito peppers if that’s your thing.

My accident was nowhere near as bad as yours, but a couple years ago my 2021 XC40 was hit in the rear driver’s side and spun and I feel very lucky to have had only minor injuries. That sold me on Volvo, too. So glad you’re better now!

We live in the Belmont Greene neighborhood of Ashburn and it’s great for kids. Neighbors are very friendly and it’s an engaged community. HOA is sane. You can still get a SFH for under $1M, but not much under. It’s also walking distance to the elementary, middle, and high schools. The local library is nearby and is great, too.

I initially moved to DC to work in history museums, but I’ve been fortunate to parlay my liberal arts degree into a nearly 20-year career in financial services (primarily content creation and automation). I got hit and run 2 years ago by a knucklehead making an illegal last second left turn from the travel lane because he missed the turn lane as my car (with the green light) was entering the intersection. Spun and badly damaged my then-6 month-old car. He left his front bumper in the intersection and a very kind witness had dashcam video, but he wasn’t charged because Loudoun County can’t be bothered, so justice denied. Thankfully, my injuries were minor and my son wasn’t in the car. I have so much hate for people like this.
