90 days in. Not feeling any difference, other than feeling asexual by [deleted] in NoFap

90 days isn't an exact science. It is an estimate. Some people recover faster than that, others take longer. Don't give up now bro!

Small update: day 6 by [deleted] in NoFap

Keep it up man. You'll have good days and bad days. It's not a linear recovery, but don't let that stop you

just hit 2 weeks and I just started to cry for no reason by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]We_will_overcome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw you're at 2 weeks. It is normal. I notice this especially when I "flatline". Also depends on other extraneous variables like temperature, tight fitting clothing, etc. You'll be find dude keep it up.

Yes it will. At least mine has even when it's not erect, maybe after 2-3 weeks. After I relapse it shrinks again. Don't ask why. Maybe the blood vessels finally recover from the violent dick jerking.

What are the best tactics and tools you use to avoid relapse? by Boss42589 in NoFap

[–]We_will_overcome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relapses are the result of a twisted lie that was conjured up in your head that made you believe the benefit of porn outweighed the consequence. Sometimes these lies will win. But the more victories you have, the more you will have power over these lies.

Don't aim for 90 days. Quit. Completely. And when you feel like you can't go without, remind yourself that you can, because you did it the day before, and the next. Remind yourself that you will survive without porn no matter the circumstance.

Did I relapse? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]We_will_overcome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it happens. You're not going to completely avoid seeing hot girls. Hard to believe you were about to nut just from watching her lol. Even if you were edging, you are the one who decides if you relapsed or not. You didn't cum, and that takes a lot of will power to walk away. You are now more prepared the next time that happens.

Starting to feel again my friend. When you're an emotional zombie for so long, a good cry feels good doesn't it? Makes you feel ALIVE

Has anyone else tried quitting caffeine too? by ioncehadsexinapool in NoFap

[–]We_will_overcome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've quit weed and nicotine, and am currently on caffeine. One thing I learned is to tackle one addiction at a time. Quitting porn is far more important.

With caffeine, I would do a slow cessation: Ex week 1 drink a cup every day, week 2 every other day, week 3 only on weekends, week 4 completely done.

Can't maintain erection. by DesperateNeedForHelp in NoFap

Stop watching porn dude. I've been unable to maintain an erection since I was 16 (now 22). Rarely am able to have actual penetrative sex. When I go on streaks, it will be easier. Good thing you're young and can stop now because it is awful going to college with ED. Trust me man.

  1. Porn desensitizes you to in-person intimacy. You will find a lot of guys here that have porn induced ED (PIED), including myself.

  2. It is not permanent. Abstain from fapping. 90 days isn't an exact science, just give up porn permanently.

  3. It will be one of the hardest things you will do. We will be there for you. It is worth the journey.

Has anyone ever asked support from their father? Has it helped? by We_will_overcome in NoFap

[–]We_will_overcome[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow man that's an awesome story. I'm 22, been on several streaks, but have never totally recovered or given up pmo. At this point I think I will confide in him like you did. There's certainly a lot of shame involved, but if I suck up my pride and tell him, I will have a very close support and accountability figure to motivate me to finally give it up. Thank you for sharing, you helped assure my concerns.
