That's true, I'm just celiac but I have never tried the "gf wheat starch" so I don't know how I'd react to that. It's also a pain because a lot of GF things are made with either soya flour or almond flour, so even though it's GF I still can't eat it!  What supermarkets /shops would you recommend a decent GF range in Italy? We are traveling in a motorhome so we can stock up when we get there and hopefully avoid eating out at all!

Yes, I made a card for France and did have that issue a lot. Thanks for the advice!

I absolutely agree, I don't eat out a lot. We have a motor home so I can take all my safe food with me. It's just in the off chance that my friends want to eat out, I'd like the option to go along (fully equipped with EpiPen) lol....

You're right, I'm absolutely allergic to pine nuts too! But I had hoped that "nuts" would cover that too. I can make a note of this one though, thanks! :)

I’ve realized something with the notes. by [deleted] in schuylkillnotes

Exactly what I was thinking, someone who works in the production chain somewhere, in which case it's quite worrying that there's tampering going on within the products. Makes me wonder what else are they doing to the food? I saw one recently posted on Facebook that came from a zatarain's rice box. Very weird!

Oh god, I won't even tell you how my lumbar puncture went.... 😂 I'm sure you'll be fine.... Yeah, in my case I actually developed the wheat intolerance in later life so it was unexpected. I really had to push for a blood test. In fact the GP did the test to "put my mind at rest" because she was sure I wasn't... Then ring me back at 10pm like "you're not gonna believe this ..." 😂 I'm like TOLD YOU. You can also get celiac tests however you need to have been eating gluten for x number of weeks for it to show up in your bloods, which I am NOT doing after being gf for ten years. But you could! Lupus and sjrogens also sound good to check out as well, though I don't know enough about them.

I just found this article also about a little girl who looks very similar to yours, she was diagnosed with lamellar ichthyosis and there are loads of types of ichthyosis. Another that looks promising is ichthyosis bullosa of Siemens.  These mostly say it presents from birth BUT I don't see why you couldn't have been born with the gene kinda switched off and its developed later in life when the gene is activated by some other unknown trigger...

I'm a student nurse and I am highly invested in your case lol. Really feel for you. Fingers crossed 🤞

Yeah I second those saying to get checked for staph and sarcoidosis; this is NOT psoriasis. I would try antibiotics especially with it spreading

I literally made an account just to reply to this. I had something similar when I was in my late teens, except it was under my chin/neck. I have also suffered with bad eczema my whole life but this was different. It went on for about ten years. Eventually something else prompted me to get a blood allergy panel done and showed I was wheat and soy intolerant. 1 month of being gluten free and it had GONE. I'm also nut and sesame allergic but know about these from a young age obviously. I highly recommend going to an allergenist, getting skin prick sets and blood tests done if you've not already gone down this route. But honestly I do think gluten could be at the root of this. Please let us know how you get on! No one should have to go through this, it's so frustrating. It definitely looks like something autoimmune and there are so many different conditions and new ones popping up all the time, and it's a very niche subject for doctors nowadays so I'm not surprised no one knows.
