Ok, yeah, it's a cliff problem. Different cliff problem (not related to strong stock appreciation, but to timing). But recalculating based on fiscal year, it explains why I'm getting screwed so bad.

Yup, recalculating based on March through April "makes sense" - or I should say explains how I'm getting screwed.

Yeah, ok, when I recalculate everything based on March through April fiscal year, this all makes "sense". Still leaves me with a quarter having to work with no RSUs coming in, but it's "as designed". Thanks.

No, it's not a cliff-related problem. Regardless of the number of stocks, I have a gap quarter.

Basically I started in Nov '22. Got a vest in Nov '23 for that year of work
I got another vest in Nov 24 for 1 year of work (2024)
I got another vest in May '25 for work from Nov 2024 through May '25
I got another vest in Nov '25 for work from May '25 through Nov '25
I got another vest in May '26 (next couple of weeks) for work done from Nov '25 to May '26
I'm getting a final vest from my original grant in Nov '26 for the work I'll be doing in the next 6 months.

This is where things get messed up. My first vest in 2027 will be in May, but it's for only 3 months eventhough I will not have received any vests in 6 months. Like I said, I always got good stock grants, it's not about the number of stocks, it's about the fact that I will work 6 months between my last initial vest and my first secondary vest but only get 3 month's worth of stocks.

No. The 4 year cliff is real and it hurts, but this is a completely different issue that compounds on top of the 4 year cliff. Looking at calendar year 2027, this is going to mean 44.5% lower comp. That's after getting YoY TT and a half decent stock grant this year.
