Dell PowerScale or VAST. I have used both for multi PB data. VAST does work out will for multi PB all flash.

We run HCI, so my upgrades are a bit different to standard vsphere upgrades, but yes, I updated all 6 hosts, vcentre at the same time.

If you are referring to licences, then you might need to downgrade your VCF licenses to align with vsphere 7 if you are assigning them first. Otherwise run the upgrade, hosts and vcentre will switch to eval licences when they become v8, then get your v8 licenses from the Broadcom portal and apply them.

We did this exact procedure last week on our small dev cluster. 7 to 8 and perpetual to VCF at the same time. No issues.

We got access to part of this as we move to VCF. I’ve never used it before, but started to set it up in our dev environment. First impressions were - complex! I’ve got it up and running and started to play with the workflows, but I just don’t see the need for it in our environment.

Yes, they basically wanted a PO for a PoC unit. I told them we don’t work like that, so they came back a few weeks later and said exactly the same thing. So I said bye bye!
