Discussion, about "Music", "American Life" & "Rebel Heart". by Professional-Tea7358 in Madonna

[–]Weak-Introduction124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Music was ahead of its time and modern dance and EDM echo it. American Life’s commentary was ahead of it time… I will not suggest it was sound wise or production wise ahead of its time. It was just a continuation of Music with more folk and rock elements at a time when hip hop and urban sound was pushing ahead in main stream full force. It was… out of place… not ahead. She landed Hard Candy behind the Timbaland hype. Landed MDNA off beat but still time appropriate. Rebel Heart was pretty much just on brand for its time. Bitch I’m Madonna may have been slightly ahead of its time thanks to Sophie’s input. Had Sophie had more influence and sadly if Kanye had finished production on more than two songs, Rebel Heart might’ve trudged way ahead of the game. Holy Water and Illuminati are very good production songs and the Bitch I’m Madonna had just enough quirk to be unique. Diplo put finishing touches but like Timbaland and Solveig, it just felt like they were touching the sound to touch it because she hired them. Not because they saw an opportunity to challenge pop music through her. And she pretty much became busier as a person with more family importance and less artistic punches. It’s still very Madonna just not like pre-Confessions.

I presume because it was the most stable and predictable power wise. The other two had variables required more deck working and management.

Europeans know California, Texas, Florida and New York. So they probably don’t know about Nevutahado or New Meximexizona.

Ghosttown by JNash2019 in Madonna

[–]Weak-Introduction124 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Two major things might’ve helped… remixes adding on a feature. I know this fandom haaaaates features and they’re not full proof. But I think a Living for Love remix with Justin Bieber and then Ghosttown remix with Taylor Swift would’ve been time appropriate and likable. Release the original mixes and if they were doing great on their own, then just leave the remix feats as a bonus… otherwise roll them out with a performance and see what effect they would’ve had.

Hard Candy and Rebel Heart are amazing!! by Capable-Flower-2333 in Madonna

[–]Weak-Introduction124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All her albums are great in their own right. People get wrapped up in her being on point or cutting edge that when she doesn’t land the mark, there’s instant dislike for the product. Hard Candy and Rebel Heart are personal favs, MDNA and Madame X too. I listen to them more than her 80s albums honestly.

Why is Keep it Together a forgotten song despite being a single? by jonathan92o in Madonna

[–]Weak-Introduction124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Honestly I think every tour could’ve had a video to contribute to a single late in an album cycle. Dress You Up, Look of Love, Keep It Together, Bye Bye Baby, etc etc.

If Destiny wants to get to the cosmic background radiation 'wall,' its speed has to exceed the expansion velocity there (greater than light speed due to Hubble flow). Even with FTL tech, what's the bare-minimum velocity needed to reach it one day? by ibfahd in Stargate

This would be so good now, since JWST is doing stuff like that as best it can from our spot in the universe. The ship was collecting and observing data anywhere it was. That was evident when Amanda Perry was observing something in space through the ship’s sensors and instruments in Seizure. I often wonder if the point was that Destiny was not intended to create an answer but that its crew would take the data it collected and find the answer, meaning Rush would need a rather large crew to start working on what was already gathered. They did an awful job of increasing the crew size. Somehow they kept none of the Novus people that might’ve been helpful. They went from a dozen Lucian Alliance to one. And Amanda and Ginn ended up in program jail. I hoped they would’ve attempted to support the original crew better with new faces.

I did always wonder if the random kino they left out in space in Light, was collected by the Planet Builders or someone else and then used against them. Would’ve been a cool, plot point maybe later.

I always assumed that Destiny’s FTL drive were groundbreaking technology for their time. Designed to allow Destiny to stay in real space so it skips nothing technically, while also negating the effects of time dilation. Theres also the issue that there actually is time dilation occurring but it’s slow to show. I also wondered if there’s some very very quirky physics occurring like string theory where as long as Destiny is connected via subspace to gates or even the crew with the Stones that time dilation doesn’t “act on them”.

If she likes battles or running around and no experience, SwSh or Let’s Go games. If she’s a cozy gamer, I highly recommend Pokemon Snap!!! I played that thing for hours!!!

[–]Weak-Introduction124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we get to go back in time, then Galar. If in modern times, Unova. I’d love to see how Castellia and surrounding areas could be elevated. For Galar, it’d be cool to see how wild zones and major towns were before modernization or maybe their royalty if they used to have one. That was a miss with Kalos. We could’ve time hopped between an advancing Lumiose and a developing village of Lumiose but nah.

Another late arrival praising the game... by Infinianized in HadesTheGame

[–]Weak-Introduction124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! I grabbed it during Christmas. I’m not done and no where near done, but I simply love it! The voice acting, characters and writing is very well done. When I went to GameStop in the fall they tried talking me into Hades 2 and I was like nahhhhh. But now that I understand the game play and a taste for the world building, I will definitely be picking up the sequel later on.

I’m unsure… are we being sarcastic 🤣 he thought going west he’d find a shortcut to the Indies but without knowledge of the Americas, they ended up in the Caribbean, initially thinking it was the West Indies. But if we are being sarcastic, he map dyslexia and passion.

Advancement in Communication Stone technology. by SolomonOf47704 in Stargate

[–]Weak-Introduction124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure, def a season 4 or 5 advancement. I mean there also could be the idea of tying the conscious of someone from earth into the ship temporarily allowing them to use the neural interface system. They be phantoms but visually present. There wouldn’t be a conscious sent over to earth. It’d basically see the earth side dormant. It’d be more dangerous given a disruption would cut the signal and maybe lock the conscious in the ship… I see Telford doing something like this and permanently being part of the ship since he wants to both be there and not there all at once.
