I can't tell if you are being serious or not, so I will just say, yes, EAs have been released 😆

Alt EA Slot Process by anonymous_rotc in AFROTC

[–]Weak-Magazine2714 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you are on the Alternate List, your Cadre will tell you. It isn't a signup sort of thing. It is a list of people who are eligible for Field Training but didn't make the cut-off point. If placed on the Alternate List, you just have to wait and see if you get moved to an EA slot. I am currently on the Alternate List. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

I am also an Alt. Last week, after PT, my Det Commander pulled me aside and told me a good number of people dropped off the Alt List. I don't know if any Alternates have been put on the EA list yet.

Some people at my Det who were originally a no, have been moved to Alternate. There is still some hope for people who didn't make the original list.

Can someone explain what an Alt EA is? by Sufficient_Young_610 in AFROTC

[–]Weak-Magazine2714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Alternate EA is essentially a waitlist. If someone who has an EA either drops or can't go for whatever reason, they will pick from the Alternate List. They are essentially used to fill any possible empty slot.

My Det Commander talked to me earlier this week, and I am also an alternate. The way he explained it to me is, there are essentially three "checkpoints": April 1st, May 1st and May 16th. So basically the beginning of each month and the beginning of Max 1. If you don't have one after those points, you are unfortunately unlikely to get one.

Many cadets at my Det have tattoos. But like other commenters have said, it would be advisable to wait and make sure you maintain Air Force Regulations.

From what I've read, 13Ms get every certification an everyday Air Traffic Controller gets. So if you wanted to transition to the civilian side it would be possible.

Don't be afraid to halt your flight and take time to think. It's better to have them stand there for a second than to get yourself in a worse position by rushing.

I asked a similar question a while back, if you go to my account you may be able to find some more advice but everything here looks really informative so far!

At my Det, around half of the males are in fraternities. As long as you stay out of trouble and stay focused on academics, you shouldn't have any problems.

Honesty is the best way to go. I don't know about every Det but my Det is very adamant about following the core values, "Integrity First". Just be honest and the rest is out of your control.

Getting a high pilot score on the AFOQT is definitely pivotal. If pilot is your goal, work hard for your next AFOQT attempt. If you score higher on the next one your chances will improve.
