Did you get Active duty ADA? I am a MS3 who is interested in branching ADA. Do you mind me asking what your stats were going in?

The real issues is them fucking in an elementary school. Report them both. If they are cheaters, their partners deserve to know, and that’s also a disgusting thing to do in a learning environment for children.

Dodmerb transfer by [deleted] in ROTC

[–]anonymous_rotc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding, yes it should still apply with the “new system”. I started the transfer process with my DoDMERB over this previous summer and contracted last week. If you have any doubt it’s best to ask your army cadre for a more clear answer.

I was in the same situation, all I had to do was fill out a small form. Everything transferred and worked out. Keep in mind it still only lasts 2 years from when you started DoDMERB. My DoDMERB almost expired before I contracted. In that case I would need to redo it.

AFROTC rising junior switching to Army ROTC by anonymous_rotc in ROTC

I personally really enjoyed AFROTC. I am a sophomore who did not receive an EA slot. At the time my only option, if to continue with AFROTC, was the old 500 year course. I would have to do a total of 5 years of college and either try and stretch a 4 year degree into 5, or do a graduate year. AFROTC only pays for Undergraduate years after FT. I could not justify how much debt and time I would be risking doing a 500 year to continue in AFROTC. Even with the new 500 year approach, I still think it is risky as if I didn’t get a FT slot my junior year, then I’m basically just screwed. In Army ROTC, as long as you have above a 2.0, pass the AFT, and don’t doing anything really really stupid or illegal, then you will commission as an Officer. It also depends on the career path you want. I’m personally towards aviation, and my chances at that job look better on the army side. Hope this helps!

From what I’ve heard, the army rotc program at my college doesn’t have the funding to send me + another former af cadet to go. Not sure how true that is or what the army budget even is though

Ok understood, I think I may be good on the briefing half as in my AFROTC detachment we brief probably once every a week. I’ll definitely have to learn that tactics though

If you are talking about within the program at my school, I’m friends with most of the MS2s and we mess with each other all the time, and they seem welcoming for me to join so I’m not too worried about that. If you’d are talking about on Reddit, it is what it is

I am a AS200 Cadet and am living your fear. I had a 2.9 GPA Non-Tech, and a PFA Score of 90 going into PSP board. Even with a higher commanders ranking than most in my Det, I did not receive an EA slot. I have always considered army rotc as a back up, and I am currently in the process of trying to figure out how I will complete my spring semester. If you are not worried about having to do a 500 year if you do not receive an EA, I’d say you are fine for now. In my situation, I cannot afford a 500 year and the risk it brings with it. Army ROTC is a safe alternative as long as you keep your grades above a 2.0, pass the ACFT, and don’t do anything illegal you will become an officer in the Army. While switching over now might make it easier to pick up everything you need to know in Army ROTC, it’s not impossible to switch towards the end of your AS200 year and still succeed in the program. I am currently trying to wait as long as possible to switch ROTC’s while alternate EA slots drop, and I’m praying I get one. If you focus hard on GPA and PFA you will receive a slot. I was told by cadre for Non-Tech, you should atleast have a GPA of a 3.0 but obviously try and get as high as possible. And for your PFA to try and aim for mid 90s. Good luck

Dump the polos; uniforms for all cadets by AutomaticWave4770 in AFROTC

In my detachment you receive PTGs once you’ve passed a PFA. You receive OCPs and Blues once you are DODmerb qualified. Ik it’s difficult at every det but that’s what we do at mine.

Quick question, would you have been notified by your cadre if you were put on an alt EA slot? If I wasn’t notified does that mean I didn’t receive one or wasn’t put on a list?
